How to Unlock Scholar Profession
Accomplish Legacy: Scholar's Path

Legacy: Scholar's Path is an exploration quest that becomes available only after meeting the two required objectives. First, you will need to complete the Gift of Gab - Spring side quest, otherwise known as the Gift of Gab: Silver Tongue, then speak with Yan Huajin in Deerforage Grove afterwards.
Both objectives are available within the Qinghe region. You need to be at least at level 13 to do this quest.
How to Activate Gift of Gab Debates
Talk to an NPC with a Gift of Gab Prompt
Speak with an NPC that has a Gift of Gab prompt. They are typically random and are scattered across the map. By selecting the prompt, the rhetorical debate will begin.

One-on-One Oral Debates
The Gift of Gab is one of the minigames available in the game, where you participate in an oral debate with an NPC by laying down responses in the form of cards. Each response can impose damage on each other's mental focus, so be on the lookout for your own to avoid a game over!
Using the Gift of Gab cards is limited to the amount of Inspiration available. It's best to choose and use your cards carefully before you run out of turns.

Talisman Crafting
Unlocking the Scholar Profession will enable the ability to craft different kinds of talismans. These talismans provide numerous buffs during combat, depending on which type you use.
Increased Combat Attributes
Unlocking the Scholar Profession may also increase your Basic and Advanced Attributes, which index your overall stats during combat. A higher Scholar Upgrade will also amplify your attributes.

How to Upgrade Scholar Profession
Collect Career Notebooks
Scholar Upgrades cost a certain amount of Career Notebooks, which increases whenever you level up per tier. Career Notebooks can be purchased on the Season Shop or through exploration. It follows a weekly restock schedule.
Purchase Scholar Giftboxes to Upgrade Gift of Gab Cards
Gift of Gab cards can be upgraded by looking for duplicates. This is only available by purchasing Scholar Giftboxes via the Season Shop. Scholar Giftboxes, like Career Notebooks, follow a weekly restock schedule.
