Your main goal when playing chess is to take down the enemy's General. You can do this by using pieces that can cross the River (middle of the board) and reach the enemy side. Each chess piece has defined spaces it can move to, which are indicated by the green dots on the board.

If you prefer to have pieces with chess icons, press F on the keyboard or Triangle on the PS5 to swap between text or chess icons.

One of the rules in this game is that both Generals cannot face each other in a straight line. The player who makes that move will automatically lose the game. Use your other chess pieces to cover your General, or make sure to avoid moving your General unless dodging an enemy chess piece coming after you.

Some chess pieces are designated to be on the defensive as they cannot cross the River and target the enemy's General. Use these pieces as guards to cover your General's line of sight or to dispose of any enemy pieces that cross your side of the River.
Whenever a round starts, chess pieces are given at random to every player. Plan ahead and make sure not to let your offensive pieces go to waste, as you cannot win if all of your remaining pieces are unable to cross the River and reach the enemy's side of the board.

Hi! Thank you for pointing this out. We will confirm the location of the chess player and add it to the map soon. If you have other pin suggestions, you can click on the interactive map and select 'Suggest a pin'. Cheers!
