Speak with Qiu Yuehai at Moonveil Peak

Skill Theft: Unearned Lesson Map Location
Region Moonveil Mountain , Qinghe

To unlock the Exploration quest Skill Theft: Unearned Lesson, go southeast of the Moonveil Peak Boundary Stone until you reach a grassy area with an arch. Talk to Qiu Yuehai near the large rock to start the quest.

Note that the game also calls the quest Skill Theft: Rightful Acquisition.

1. Talk to Qiu Yuehai at Moonveil Peak

WWM - Talk to Qiu Yuehai at Moonveil Peak

Southeast of Moonveil Peak, talk to Qiu Yuehai, who is spying on a martial artist from a distance. He will teach you how to perform Skill Theft by observing the man.

2. Find a Spot to Observe the Martial Artist

WWM - Find a Spot to Hide Behind

Go to the marked spot and use Wind Sense to find a place to observe the martial artist without being seen. Hide behind the nearby rock marked by a white beam in Wind Sense mode.

3. Perform Skill Theft to Learn Veil of Stillness

WWM - Start Skill Theft to Learn Veil of Stillness

Behind the rock, look at the martial artist and press the button to begin Skill Theft. You have 60 seconds to successfully learn the Mystic Skill Veil of Stillness. This skill allows you to briefly turn invisible and move undetected unless engaged in combat.

Time Your Button Presses with the Right Circles

WWM - Time Button in Skill Theft

Whenever you initiate Skill Theft, time your button presses with the yellow or golden circles that appear. Do not press the button when grey circles appear as they deduct points from your progress bar, delaying the process.

4. Report Back to Qiu Yuehai

WWM - Report Back to Qiu Yuehai

After successfully learning Veil of Stillness, report back to Qiu Yuehai. Later, the martial artist Gu Le will join in and talk to you after Qiu Yuehai leaves. He will give you a Dragon Key and A Decade's Dream, ending the quest.
