 Scholar |
Healer and Scholar are the only professions available as of the game's release. More will be released as the daily caps gradually get lifted.
What are Professions?
Character Specialized Careers
In the game, you can assume a specialized role, such as Healer or Scholar. The Healer profession, for example, introduces the ability to heal NPCs, as well as other players during multiplayer mode. On the other hand, a Scholar has skills of persuasion, where you can initiate debates through the use of the Gift of Gab cards.
How to Unlock Professions
Complete Profession Related Side Quests
Professions are unlocked by accomplishing profession centered side quests. These quests will have introductory activities to the Profession itself.
Why You Should Choose a Profession
Extra Supportive Skills
Professions are part of the game's job system that will let you learn how to craft items that can support your journey, your NPCs, or even other players. Additionally, learning more Professions will have an impact on your stats, and it is recommended to use these strategically when necessary.
How to Level Up Professions
Collect Career Notebooks
To upgrade Profession levels, collect Career Notebooks, which can be obtained from accomplishing Legacy-related Side Quests. Career Notebooks are also purchasable in the Season Shop, where limited stocks are refreshed weekly.
Find Duplicates of Skills
Upgrading the skills for each for profession, such as the Prescription for Healers or the Gift of Gab cards for Scholars, will require you to collect duplicates of each. A certain amount will be indicated on the lower right part of the upgrade screen.
These duplicates are only obtainable through the Season Shop by purchasing weekly limited stocks of profession boxes.
