This is a guide on how to befriend Fang Xu in the AI Chat menu in Where Winds Meet. Help Fang Xu spend all his earnings every week, with a list of specific AI Chat prompts.
How to Befriend Fang Xu
Tell Him to Spend His Money Helping People
Suggest to do a distribution event of clean food and clothes for the people in General's Shrine to give Fang Xu an idea on how to spend his money. Tell him that this will also boost his reputation and that a good deed is always good. Finally, tell him that you will help him on his cause to befriend him.

How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.

I didn't know there was a guide. All I had to do to befriend is actually help the current situation. Since the place is wrecked, in order to spend all of Fang Xu's money is to actually renovate the place. That way, it helps his image and money problem. I keep praising him and that'll help his future endeavours. It instantly turned into 100 Revered. I also did it with Zhao Dali because he's in the same area. I told him that Fang Xu is planning to renovate and that'll help him have potential love.
