Qinghe is the starting region that you can explore in the world. It is a region of open plains, quiet villages, and hidden mysteries where you'll learn a lot of the game mechanics and how the world of Where Winds Meet work.

Kaifeng is the second region that you can explore and is a bustling ancient city covered by light, sound, and story.
Oddities will have different color in the map depending on what type they are

Progress the main story to unlock campaign bosses which can be fought again by spending energy. These are marked with the red hat on a stick icon.
List of All Bosses
World Bosses are strong enemies that you can found scattered throughout the map. Some of them will be difficult but will give great rewards once defeated. They are marked with the red skull icon.

Side Quests come in different types that are classified as either Exploration Quests, Encounter Quest, Jianghu Legacy Quests, and Worldly Affairs. Side quests reward different things such as Mystic Arts or Tales of Medicine. Some are marked on your map, while others are chance encounter.

Boundary Stones are scattered throughout the map and are used to fast travel to make exploration more convenient. You will need to go and interact with the Boundary Stones first before you can fast travel to them.

Wayfarers are NPCs that you need to talk to in order to unlock a portion of the region map. They will be marked with the Flame icon in the map.

Oddities are collectibles that can be found on certain parts of the map. You will usually need to solve a small puzzle depending on what type of Oddity they are before you can obtain them. They will not be marked in the map initially but will appear with a Fairy icon once you get close to one.
Oddities' main function is to submit them to Oddity Exchange NPCs to upgrade your talent in Melodies of Peace. Upgarding your talent will increase your performance such as giving you stat boosts and arts.
All Oddities Locations and Map

Sentient Beings are your completion rate within a location of the region. This lists how many more activities and points of interests you are missing in a location and will only reach 100% once you unlock everything in the location.

Wandering Tales are shorter version of side stories. Selecting a Wandering Tales mission will highlight the general area of where to start the quest, but make sure to pay attention to the clues that the quest will give you in order to progress them.

Outposts are fortresses marked with the red fortress icon. Completing an outpost will give you a unique reward, but outposts can be challenged again using energy.

There will be NPCs throughout each region that you can talk to and even befriend. You can also talk to them and their responses will be powered by AI. Having a high level of friendship with them will give weekly rewards. NPCs will be marked with the head icon.

Graceful Melody is a rhythm minigame where you'll have to press the button on time once the notes hit the circle. Netting a high score will give you rewards. Graceful Melody is marked with a music instrument icon on the map.

Archery Contest is a minigame that tests your accuracy with the bow by having you shoot arrows on moving objects. This is marked with the target with arrow icon in the map.

Healer Healing is a minigame where you heal the sick by choosing healer skills. This is marked with the bottle gourd icon on the map.

Gift of Gab Debate is a minigame that lets you debate against someone by choosing one of the available dialogue options to deal damage against your opponent. These are marked with the speech bubble icon.

Cat Play allows you to feed and pet the cat in order to gain their trust.

Meow Meow lets you meet a magical kitten that won't stop meowing as it waits for someone to solve its puzzle. Solving the cat's puzzles will reward you with its gifts. Meow Meow is marked with the paw icon.

There are many scenic locations throughout the map but some of them are very well hidden. Luckily, there are gold colored butterflies that you can find in the map that will guide you to those beautiful spots.

Similar to Universal Harmony, blue butterflies will lead you to hidden paths that will lead to either treasures or wonderful viewpoints.

Wild Ritual Ghost Fire will have you follow red butterflies that will guide you to a shrine that contains a treasure.

During your journey, you may encounter camps with enemies on them. Battle them to rid the jianghu of bandits and thieves and unlock the chest that they guard.

Pitch Pot is a minigame that lets you throw dart to the pots while being drunk. This can be challenging as your character will be drunk and you'll have to outscore your opponent in order to win.

Make friends by battling different heroes across walks of life. These are marked with the man with a sword icon.

Fishing Contest lets you compete against an opponent where you have to catch the better fish in order to win. Fishing Contests will have a fisherman icon on the map.

Shops are where you can buy different items using coins and collectibles. They are marked with the shop icon.
