The Heavenquaker Spear and Strategic Sword build focuses on applying 5 stacks of Bleed to enemies and triggering the Heavenquaker Spear's Sober Sorrow to gain buffs. With the Internal Art - Wolfchaser's Art, you'll be able to obtain these buffs even against single target damage, however, it does require you to be mindful of the debuff duration to capitalize on the build's true potential.

The build alternates its Martial Art usage by rotating Bleed stacks and capitalizing on buffs that you can use from the said status effect. Use Strategic Sword's Charged Skill to apply bleed to enemies until you get 5 stacks. Then, use Sweep All to get a damage increase while debuffing enemies only to swap back to the Strategic Sword and proc the Bleed stacks.
The Heavenquaker Spear's role is to activate a buff for yourself with Sober Sorrow, applying a debuff on enemies and increasing your damage output. Then, swap back to Strategic Sword to activate all of the amplified Bleed for a massive damage burst, making the two martial arts synergize well with each other.

Reduces the required combo number to gain Heavenquaker Spear's Martial Arts Skill, Sorrow Without Wine buff from 5/10 to 4/8. Each time Sorrow Without Wine hits a boss with Bleed effect from you, there is a 20% / 40% / 60% / 80% / 100% chance to increase the combo count by 1 based on the number of Bleed stacks. |
Morale Chant |
80% chance to gain one stack of Yi River when attacking or healing. Yi River: Increases Physical Damage and healing by 1% for 8 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. The chance to gain Yi River is only calculated once every 2 seconds. |
Adaptive Steel |
Gain a Martial Skill effect based on the blade weapon you are using. The Martial Skill of Sword has a 10-second cooldown, while Dual Blades' Martial Skill has a cooldown of 25 seconds. |
Sword Horizon |
After casting Strategic Sword's Martial Arts Skill, Special Skill, or Charged Skill, press the skill button at the perfect timing during the ending phase to cast Crisscrossing Swords and unleash follow-up attacks. If the target has 5 stacks of Bleed, remove all Bleed stacks and deal high Bleed damage once. |
For your Inner Ways, you can stick to the Bellstrike Umbra's inner art as these will automatically synergize with the build's weapon swap, skill usage, and DoT-centric playstyle. However, we recommend swapping out Insightful Strike with Morale Chant for the stacked healing and physical damage to help you maximize your damage output.

Ghost Bind |
Flash before enemies, immobilizing up to 6 targets for 5s, and breaking their Vital Points. Ineffective against powerful enemies and players. Vital Points: These enemies have bound Qi bars. Breaking their Vital Points disables Qi regen and deals extra damage. |
Dragon's Breath |
Drink to enter Intoxicated. Breath fire with Qi, dealing damage over 2 hits plus Ignition. Gain 15% Damage Reduction and Fortitude. Intoxicated: Lasts 30s. Dragon's Breath and Drunken Poet can be used without drinking. Ignition: Target takes damage every 0.5s for 8s. |
We utilize the Dragon's Breath and Ghost Bind combo for this setup, as it lets us apply ignition for more sources of DoT while also capable of immobilizing enemies for burst damage openings and setting up your Bleed effects easier.

4 Set Effect: Dealing damage over time or healing grants 1 stack of Eaglerise: Reduces damage taken by 1.2% for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. At max stacks, receives an Eagle Guard effect that reduces the next incoming damage within 10 seconds by 90% (halved when the damage comes from a boss). This effect can only trigger once every 30 seconds. |
For our set gear, Hawkwing provides the most value due to its high affinity bonuses to help you deal more damage with the amount of hits you can inflict. Due to our build's DoT nature, we will often fight high HP enemies before bursting them with the bleed's amplified DoT effect, which lets us capitalize on the damage bonus even more. Take note that the set can only be target farmed from the Still Shore, Gleaming Abyss, and a chance to drop on Sword Trials.
For our defensive setup, Eaglerise is an easy slot in as we can quickly apply DoT and keep the effect of Eagle Guard as much as possible; however, this effect has a 30 second cooldown, so avoid getting hit and treat it as a free hit you can take now and then.
Attack will be our main priority; unlike other builds that maximize critical strikes, we'll want to maximize our attack stat as much as possible to scale up our bleed damage.

The build's identity does not rely on raw damage per hit but rather, focusing on stacking up Bleed and amplifying it for a huge burst of damage during the combo's final stage. Ensure that you focus on bleed stack application, then capitalize on the buffs and debuffs you can get from it before executing enemies with the final burst. The rotation is as follows:
