Puppeteer - Sheng Wu Best Companion

The best companion to bring against Puppeteer—Sheng Wu would be Yia Dao due to his ability to tank powerful attacks and draw aggro for Puppeteer—Sheng Wu. He is durable enough to tank the strikes of the boss while you are freely hitting from a safe spot.

On top of tanking damage for you, Yi Dao is also capable of healing you once in a while during the fight to help you survive and sustain your HP.

You can encounter the Puppeteer - Sheng Wu World Boss south of the Verdant Wilds campfire waypoint in the Qinghe region.

How to Beat Puppeteer - Sheng Wu

Kite the Two Puppets

Once you reach the Puppeteer's 2nd phase, it will refill it's health, disappear into the smoke, and start summoning two Puppets that you need to defeat to make the boss come back and let you deal damage.

We highly recommend kiting these puppets since they can only attack in one direction. Make sure to keep track of the real Puppeteer in your camera view since it can still attack you during this phase.

Perfect Dodge the Golden Glow Thrust

We recommend perfectly dodging the powerful Iron-Rod thrust attack. Sheng Wu will jump and glow golden, which signals you to slide sideways at the last possible moment. Be careful, as the attack is tracking you until the final second.

Successfully pulling off the Perfect Dodge will trigger a time slow, allowing you to attack Sheng Wu freely. Use this brief window to execute your strongest mystic skill to maximize damage output before time returns to normal.

Use Cloud Steps to Interrupt Red Glow Attack

During phase 2, Sheng Wu will glow red to charge a powerful attack. It can be countered with a perfect parry, but you can also use your Cloud Steps to disrupt his attack.

Cloud Steps Mystic Skill Effect and How to Unlock

Parry his Melee Attacks

Sheng Wu's melee attacks are easy to telegraph. We recommend parrying them to exhaust his Qi Bar and leave him vulnerable to Execute attacks.

During Phase 2, Sheng Wu will tend to attack more with red glint attacks. It signifies the tighter window for parrying but also means you will get to counterattack after a successful parry.

Hi! Thanks for pointing that out. We have updated the page with additional information about his health refill.

Wait is there no mention of him fully healing himself during phase 2? I had him nearly beat like 5 times and every time he fully healed back. I had to just walk away
