How to Unlock All Martial Arts
Steal the Skills From Masters or Join Their Sects

 Nameless Sword
|
The Nameless Sword Martial Art is unlocked by default, and can be used at the beginning of the game. |
 Strategic Sword
|
The Strategic Sword can be obtained by performing a Skill Theft on the Master located inside the Strategic Sword Sanctum. |
 Infernal Twinblades
|
You can obtain the Infernal Twinblades by stealing from the master in Midnight Mercy Sanctum. Alternatively, it can be obtained by joining the Midnight Blades Sect and fulfilling their requirements or from Qi Sheng by submitting your first oddity. |
 Nameless Spear
|
The Nameless Spear Martial Art is unlocked by default, and can be used at the beginning of the game. |
 Heavenquaker Spear
|
You can obtain the Heavenquaker Spear by stealing from the master in Heavenquaker Spear Sanctum. Alternatively, it can be obtained by joining the Raging Tides Sect and fulfilling their requirements. |
 Stormbreaker Spear
|
You can obtain the Stormbreaker Spear by opening the in-game mail once you reach level 3. |
 Panacea Fan
|
The Panacea Fan can be unlocked by stealing the art from the master in Midnight Mercy Sanctum. Alternatively it can be obtained by joining the Silver Needles sect or choosing it as a reward from Qi Sheng. |
 Inkwell Fan
|
The Inkwell Fan can be unlocked by stealing the art from the master in Inkwell Fan Sanctum. |
 Soulshade Umbrella
|
The Soulshade Umbrella can be unlocked by stealing the art from the master in Soulshade Umbrella - Post Station or by joining the Hollow Vale sect. |
 Vernal Umbrella
|
The Panacea Fan can be unlocked by stealing the art from the master in the Time Tower. |
 Thundercry Blade
|
The Thundercry Blade can be unlocked by stealing the art from the master in Well of Heaven Martial Camp Sanctum or by joining the Well of Heaven sect. |
 Mortal Rope Dart
|
You can obtain the Mortal Rope Dart by infiltrating the Martial Hall in Kaifeng. Alternatively, you can acquire it by joining the Nine Mortal Ways Sect and completing the Sect initation quest. |
You can unlock all Martial Arts in two ways: by performing a Skill Theft on masters, which requires infiltrating their hideouts, or by joining the Martial Art's respective Sect. Of the two methods, we recommend stealing the Martial Arts, as this is the faster method and it will not tie you to any of the factions in the game.
To begin stealing skills from masters, we recommend unlocking the Touch of Death Mystic Arts first during Qinghe's Volume 1 Side Story, as you will need this to eliminate guards while sneaking into their hideouts. Once you have obtained the skill, you will also need Dragon Keys. These keys, which can be obtained by clearing outposts for the first time, are required to unlock some of the hideouts in Qinghe. Here is a summary of how to obtain all the Martial Arts:
You Can Learn Certain Martial Arts After Obtaining Your First Oddity
Early in the game, you will encounter Qi Sheng, the NPC who collects the Oddities in Qinghe. Upon submitting your first Oddity, he will give you the option to choose from four Martial Arts: the Panacea Fan, Thundercry Blade, Infernal Twinblades, and the Vernal Umbrella.
Out of all the options, we recommend choosing the Panacea Fan, as it will drastically improve your survivability early in the game when potions are scarce. Alternatively, you can choose the Thundercry Blade or the Vernal Umbrella. These weapons are good choices because they can otherwise only be unlocked in Kaifeng, which you will not reach for a while.

Martial Arts Explained
Martial Arts Determine Playstyles of Your Equipped Weapon
Martial arts are combat styles that provide a set of Skills, Abilities, and Basic Attacks. Each martial art has its own unique system for play, as well as its own distinctive resources and effects.
Each martial art is designed to play a distinct Role and follow its own Path. These roles and paths are intended to assist players in selecting the most appropriate weapon combinations.
Skills are Tied to the Weapon
Martial Arts are tied with specific weapons; therefore, if you wish to change the Martial Arts set that you are using, you will need to switch to a different weapon.
Do note that most Martial Arts have to be unlocked. Equipping a weapon without learning the Martial Art that is associated with it will allow you to use the weapon and do basic attacks, but you will be unable to use any of its Martial Arts.
Roles and Paths Will Define Your Builds

Each Martial Art will have a corresponding Role and Path, which in turn, determines the actions performed in combat. Some paths contain effects that persist when you swap weapons, benefiting the weapon you swap to or sharing a combat resource unique to that martial art.
This makes choosing Martial Arts with the same Role and Path a solid tactic, as they are naturally synergistic.
