Blade Out is the Volume 1 of the Battle Pass, available for all players since the launch of Where Winds Meet on November 14th, 2025!

How to Unlock Battle Pass

Unlocked During Chapter 1 of Main Quest

WWM - Defeat Dalang
To unlock the Battle Pass, players must do Chapter 1 of the Main Quest Heaven Has No Pier, and reach the sub-quest A Horse Neighs in the Forest.

Most of the other parts of the menu will be unlocked at this point, and this includes the Battle Pass Menu.

The Battle Pass is where players can be rewarded with various items like Weapons, Resources, Materials, Currencies and even Cosmetics.

In Where Winds Meet, a Battle Pass will last the entire duration of a Version patch, which is about 5 to 6 weeks in between..

There are three tiers of the Battle Pass that players can access: the Free Version, the Elite Version and the Collection Version.

Free Version

Where Winds Meet - Battle Pass Menu Tiers
The free version is available to all players, and does not cost anything to obtain. This is automatically unlocked the first time a player accesses the Battle Pass menu at the start of a patch's duration!

Unlike the two premium Battle Passes, the Free Version will have the minimum items rewarded to the players upon reaching certain Battle Pass levels. .

Elite Version

Where Winds Meet - Battle Pass - Free vs. Premium
The first tier is the Elite Version, where players will unlock the premium Battle Pass. This allows players to receive premium currency like Lingering Melody and Echo Jades, as well as receive the featured Cosmetics in that version of the Battle Pass.

On top of that, players will also unlock a Portable Merchant and additional slots for Medicine and Inventory for the duration of the Battle Pass.

Collection Version

The Collection Version is the second tier of the premium Battle Pass, carrying most of the perks of the Elite Battle Pass and adding onto it. Part of the perks include adding 10 Levels to your current Battle Pass Level upon purchasing this tier!

Further additional slots for Medicine and Inventory are also provided in this tier, as well as additional Lingering Melodies and special Player Nameplates.

The most common way to increase an account's Battle Pass level is by doing the various Quests available. There are Daily, Weekly and Per Period Quests available that all refresh depending on their timeframe!

Do the Daily Quests At Least

At the very least, try completing the Daily Quests when playing Where Winds Meet. While the Daily Quest Pass EXP is smaller compared to the others given in Weekly and Per Period Quests, it does slowly add up over time, and should get players to at least a high level in the Battle Pass Ladder.

Buy the Collection Battle Pass

Buying the Collection Battle Pass immediately adds 10 Levels to your current Battle Pass Level, which means you can kickstart the level gain from there. The lower tiers of the Battle Pass do not provide such a perk.

Where Winds Meet - Battle Pass Shop
The Battle Pass Shop is an exclusive shop where players can purchase various things for their account. This includes cosmetics, emotes, items to improve your character and additional perks in other game modes!

Players must use Battle Pass Tokens in order to purchase them, which can only be obtained by reaching Levels 51 to 80 in the free version Battle Pass.

Is the Battle Pass Worth It?

Provides Rewards for Consistent Play Time

Players should only consider the premium versions of the Battle Pass if they are willing to be consistent in playing Where Winds Meet on a regular basis.

However, the game does specify the returns in purchasing either version of the premium Battle Passes.

Only Way to Obtain Currency for Battle Pass Shop is Free

If the player's goal is to purchase the various items in the Battle Pass Shop, the free version should be enough as is.

However, it will be up to the player to consistently play the game in order to reach the high levels of the Battle Pass, where the Battle Pass Tokens can be obtained.
