Furnace of Righteousness is the fifth and final main quest in Chapter 2: Universal Furnace. Check this guide for quest objectives and rewards you receive upon completion.

1. Regroup in Forsaken Quarter
| 1.1 | Regroup with Little Fu, Little Lu, and Little Shou at the entrance to Forsaken Quarter. They will tell you to find Yingying. |

| 1.2 | Find Yingying by the gate, then follow her into the safe haven. Crouch to evade the government soldiers. If spotted, you have to redo this part. At the haven, you will regroup with the three sisters, but Lord Shi will arrive with soldiers and Widow Zhou outside. |
| 1.3 | Confront Lord Shi alone, then defeat his two soldiers. After Yingying intervenes, return to Granny Turtle and the sisters at the safe place. |
| 1.4 | Rally the commoners to sing ballads. Head outside and follow the three sisters standing in front of each door. When the residents come together at last, eavesdrop on a group’s conversation to learn about a convoy headed for the Furnace. |
| 1.5 | Follow the quest marker to a heavily guarded area. You will initially be stopped by the guard there. To get to the convoy, you must sneak past the guards by leaping on the roofs and light posts. If you are spotted, you will return to the start of the area. |
2. Head to the Furnace Area
| 2.1 | In the Furnace Area, follow the quest marker to evade the guards. You will find yourself behind sacks with two soldiers in front of you. Wait for one of them to walk away, then assassinate the other with Touch of Death. |

| 2.2 | Ahead, you will find a group of soldiers. Wait for them to walk away before sneaking behind them to the other side. |
| 2.3 | A pair of soldiers will appear in front of a shack with a ladder. Wait for one of them to leave, then assassinate the other. Climb up the ladder inside. |
| 2.4 | Run along the roofs to enter the attic of a lit building. In the attic, eavesdrop on the guards below. Drop down and defeat them to obtain the map. |
| 2.5 | Leave the camp through the window. Immediately, you will be spotted by guards. Escape by leaping on the roofs. Watch out for the soldiers' fire arrows while escaping. |
3. Locate the Dungeon
Out of the guards' sight, inspect the map. Enlarge the clue to locate the dungeon on the far east side of the courtyard.

4. Find a Way to the Dungeon
| 4.1 | Leap and run along the roofs until you reach the building containing the dungeon. Hop down and get in through the window, then descend down the stairs into the dungeon. |

| 4.2 | Eavesdrop on the soldiers in the dungeon. After the group leaves, take out the two soldiers. To open the dungeon gate, you need to find the key. Take the stairs the soldiers took, leading back into the building. |
| 4.3 | Follow the quest marker to another building, where the key-holding guard is. Take a right inside, going past a green-robed man, to where the quest marker is. The guard will then go upstairs with an official. |
| 4.4 | Follow the pair upstairs. Do not follow too closely or else you will be spotted. They will enter a room. Instead of going in, take a right to where a window is, then use Celestial Seize to snatch the key from the guard. |
| 4.5 | Leave through the window and return to the building with the dungeon. Unlock the dungeon gate with the key then head inside to take the elevator going down. |
5. Explore the Chamber
| 5.1 | In the dungeon, investigate the left cell containing an imprisoned official. |

| 5.2 | Inspect the empty cell to the right. Going inside it, you will be trapped by the Fu Lu Shou Sisters. After agreeing to help you find Yingying, they will let you go. Wait for them to unlock the gate. |
| 5.3 | Follow the sisters deeper into the dungeon. At the end of the corridor, help them open a door to the God of Fortune’s chamber. |
| 5.4 | Inspect the chamber by interacting with Fu, Lu, and Shou in different parts of the room. |
6. Find Yingying in the Dungeon
| 6.1 | After searching the chamber, investigate the strange candle to uncover a secret passage behind the shelf. |

| 6.2 | Help the sisters investigate the contraption by letting them stand on your shoulders. Move left as instructed by Little Shou. |
| 6.3 | Wait for the sisters to open the door for you, then pass through the revolving shelf. Head into the passage until you reach a door. Unlock it by stepping on the slab in front of it. |
| 6.4 | After a cutscene, you will be reunited with the sisters in the secret chamber. Examine the clothes at the base of the pillar. |
| 6.5 | Suddenly, government soldiers will arrive. Defeat them before finding a way out through the elevator. |
| 6.6 | Returning to the surface, defeat Jin Hou in the courtyard. After defeating Jin Huo, leap to the roof to regroup with the trio. |
| 6.7 | Follow the trio to the Furnace entrance by jumping on the buildings. You have to do this quickly to catch up with the trio, or else you will restart this segment from the beginning. |
7. Search for Yingying in the Furnace
| 7.1 | In the Furnace, follow Yuanbao to locate Yingying. Carefully jump on the platforms, then cross the chain to the other side. |

| 7.2 | To find a way up, look to the right where barrels are being raised. Jump toward the barrel before pressing the prompt to land on it. If you miss, you will land on a lower platform that is closer to the barrels. On your way up, the workers will suspect your presence. Evade their line of sight by jumping on the ledge once it nears. |
| 7.3 | At the top, follow Yuanbao over the bridge. Wait for the soldiers to leave, then sneak along the path to the elevator. Assassinate the soldier to get past him. |
| 7.4 | Nearing the elevator, there will be a group of soldiers. Wait for them to disperse, then hide behind the last pile of crates. After the two soldiers turn around, head in the elevator. |
| 7.5 | The Furnace will be alerted of your trespassing. Leap out of the elevator and escape to the top of the Furnace. In this segment, you have to run and press the button prompts to successfully leap from one point to another. |
| 7.6 | Outside the Furnace, continue your way to the top by leaping for the ledges. At the very top of the Furnace, activate the lever to head back inside. |
| 7.7 | In a chamber full of gold, you can open all ten chests before proceeding to the quest marker. |
| 7.8 | In a small chamber, activate the lever to access the elevator. Below, proceed through the hall and open the doors to the boss arena. |
8. Defeat the God of Avarice
| 8.1 | Defeat the God of Avarice. The boss has two phases. Take note of the HP bar shielded by gold. You have to attack it before you can deplete the boss’ real HP bar. ▶ God of Avarice Boss Overview |

| 8.2 | In its “third phase”, you cannot deal direct damage to the God of Avarice. Instead, you have to shoot the eye in its scepter to weaken it. As the fight goes on, the boss will eventually be defeated in a cutscene. |
9. Check on Big Zhao
After the battle is over, the time will skip to fifteen days later. Back in Kaifeng City, check on Big Zhao narrating the events of the story at a table.
10. Return to Granny’s House
Return to Granny’s house in the Forsaken Quarter, and talk to Yingying inside to end the quest and the chapter.
Completing this quest unlocks the Furnace of Righteousness Campaign in the Furnace Area of Kaifeng City. Here, you can challenge the God of Avarice again to win rewards and upgrade your gear.

Black God of Wealth is a boss fought during the Furnace of Righteousness Quest. During his second phase, he will start charging up in the center of the arena and let out a short burst of Money Flowers that covers his health bar with money. This can make him invulnerable to staggers and knock down so we highly recommend whittling down the Money Bar as fast as you can with your attacks, while also focusing on dodging his attacks.
