PVE and PVP evaluation for Everspring Umbrella and Unfettered Rope Dart are based on early impressions of the weapon. Rankings are subject to change as we test the weapons out thoroughly.
| Date | Changes |
|---|---|
| 03/06/2026 | Added Hexi Update weapons, Unfettered Rope Dart and Everspring Umbrella. |
| 12/22//2025 | Added PvP Tier List (December 2025). | 11/15/2025 | Created the Tier List (November 2025). |
Weapon Martial Arts are primarily used for combat. Martial Arts that excel in any aspect of combat, such as dealing damage, providing support, or offering crowd control, will rank higher on the list.
Martial Arts that demonstrate strong adaptability, whether used as a primary or secondary weapon. Their overall synergy potential is considered, though specific weapon pairings are not a determining factor in ranking.
Martial Arts that are viable with minimal investment will rank higher on the list. We believe that every weapon is viable with sufficient investment, so we are considering the level of investment required to perform well as a key factor in our rankings.
Martial Arts that are viable, commonly required in parties, or highly recommended for multiplayer content are also key factors in determining their placement on the tier list.
| Martial Arts | PvE | PvP |
|---|---|---|
Soulshade Umbrella
|
The Soulshade Umbrella is a support weapon that provides healing over time and damage buffs. It goes extremely well with any other weapon because it allows you to easily swap in, activate its skills, and swap out to deal damage with other weapons. |
In PvP, its effectiveness drops significantly due to healing nerfs, making it less useful compared to other weapons that offer stronger burst damage, crowd control, or pressure. |
Panacea Fan
|
The Panacea Fan is a support weapon with superior healing. Available from the start, it excels at early-game survival through parries and Executions. In multiplayer, its ability to resurrect allies can turn the tide of battle.. |
Just like the Soulshade Umbrella, in PvP, reduced healing values limit its overall impact, causing it to fall behind weapons that can apply stronger pressure, burst damage, or crowd control. |
Strategic Sword
|
The Strategic Sword applies stacking damage over time that can later explode for high burst damage. Its high mobility lets you close gaps or reposition while attacking, offering a strong balance of offense and defense. |
The Strategic Sword excels in PvP against tanks and healing-heavy builds through stacking DoT pressure. Second Track Slash and Inner Track Slash rapidly apply Bleed, which can be consumed at 5+ stacks with Inner Balance Strike for massive burst damage, making it effective at breaking tanky opponents. |
Nameless Sword
|
The Nameless Sword is a highly mobile DPS weapon, allowing you to weave in and out of the enemy's range mid-combo. It has a good mix of single-target and AoE options, making it viable for most content in the game. |
Strong in PvP due to its ranged pressure, gap closing, and safe disengage. Charged attacks harass from range, Daunting Strike closes gaps for burst damage, and Shadow Step allows quick disengage with the option to re-engage, making it ideal for hit-and-run play. |
Everspring Umbrella
NEW |
The Everspring Umbrella is a powerful ranged DPS weapon that excels at mid-range pressure and strong AoE damage. Its returning umbrella mechanics allow it to hit enemies twice while maintaining safe positioning, making it excellent for clearing groups and maintaining consistent damage on bosses. |
In PvP, the Everspring Umbrella performs very well thanks to its safe ranged pressure, mobility tools, Tenacity, and burst windows during Flower Burial. It can harass enemies from a distance while setting up strong combos before switching to a melee weapon. However, its biggest plays can be shut down if mistimed. |
Heavenquaker Spear
|
The Heavenquaker Spear excels against groups, as its damage buff scales with the number of hits landed. However, it struggles to reach maximum effectiveness against single targets like bosses, even when using bleed-based internal arts. |
Reliable hyper-armor charge attacks and bleed synergy give it solid combo potential, but it sees limited play outside Strategic Sword builds. |
Unfettered Rope Dart
NEW |
The Unfettered Rope Dart is a high-damage weapon built around applying Soulbreak and detonating it through powerful burst combos. With strong AoE damage, along with good sustain with its Charge Skill, it performs extremely well in PvE boss fights and sustained combat. |
In PvP, the Rope Dart is threatening due to its burst potential, Tenacity access, and ability to quickly apply Soulbreak pressure. When used correctly, it can quickly punish opponents with explosive damage windows. It is largely a combo weapon held back, however, by long cooldowns. It also lacks good engage tools. |
Infernal Twinblades
|
The Infernal Twinblades excel at fast, relentless attacks and high mobility, letting you pressure and chase enemies easily. However, they have low defense, limited AoE, and Flamelash buffs are hard to sustain solo, forcing frequent dodges that break your combo. |
Extreme mobility and relentless combo pressure allow it to stay glued to opponents, overwhelming them with long oppressive combos and Infernal Mode, which makes you uninterruptible without too much risk, despite modest raw damage. |
Thundercry Blade
|
The Thundercry Blade is slow but hard-hitting, with powerful charged attacks and HP-scaling shields that let you tank while charging. It shines for tank builds, but blocking or dodging cancels your charge, making its otherwise strong defense a major drawback. |
Frequent uninterruptible skills and defensive shields let it trade safely and chip enemies down, excelling in prolonged fights rather than burst damage. |
Nameless Spear
|
The Nameless Spear delivers strong burst damage through its fast-charging heavy attack and Endurance-reduction buffs from its skills. However, its short range leaves you vulnerable, especially against multiple ranged enemies. |
Its paralysis initiation is extremely strong for starting combos, but predictable play patterns and limited follow-ups prevent it from competing with top-tier weapon |
Vernal Umbrella
|
The Vernal Umbrella boasts the longest range of any weapon and can serve as a primary or secondary turret, similar to the Infernal Blades’ Rodent Rampage but requiring a charge. Its charged light attacks let you float while dealing damage, though you remain vulnerable midair and upon landing due to stamina use. |
Long-range paralysis offers high reward when it lands, but slow animations and heavy punish potential on miss keep it just below S tier. |
Mortal Rope Dart
|
The Mortal Rope Dart offers fast attacks and decent range, with Rodent Rampage adding extra damage while active. However, it lacks AoE, and Rodent Rampage's short 10-second duration makes it better as a situational secondary weapon. |
While highly effective when paired with Infernal Twin Blades due to rat procs and ranged sustain, it offers little standalone value outside that specific synergy. Outside of that pairing its impact drops sharply, but with Infernal Twin Blades it becomes a high-value pick. |
Inkwell Fan
|
The Inkwell Fan offers strong mobility, range, and launch combos, but its attacks can be inconsistent, enemies may resist being launched, or mobile foes can dodge, breaking your flow. |
Long-range paralysis offers high reward when it lands, but slow animations and heavy punish potential on miss keep it just below S tier. |
Stormbreaker Spear
|
The Stormbreaker Spear deals low damage, focusing on defense with damage reduction and Vulnerable effects. It works as a secondary weapon, but is outclassed by others unless paired with the Thundercry Blade. |
Defensive buffs and uninterruptible animations reward bait-heavy playstyles, though its lack of offensive pressure keeps it from shaping the meta. |
