| Martial Arts | Explanation |
|---|---|
Soulshade Umbrella
|
The Soulshade Umbrella is a support weapon that provides healing over time and damage buffs. It goes extremely well with any other weapon because it allows you to easily swap in, activate its skills, and swap out to deal damage with other weapons. |
Panacea Fan
|
The Panacea Fan is a support weapon that provides superior healing compared to the Soulshade Umbrella, though it lacks the damage buff. It is available from the start, making it a strong early-game survival option. While its direct damage is low, you can focus on parrying and Executing enemies while endlessly healing. In multiplayer, it has the critical utility of resurrecting allies, which can change the tide of battle. |
Strategic Sword
|
The Strategic Sword is a weapon that can apply stacks of damage over time, which can later explode to deal high burst damage. In addition to the bleeding damage, this weapon has high mobility, enabling you to close gaps or reposition while attacking, providing a good balance of both defense and offense. |
Nameless Sword
|
The Nameless Sword is a highly mobile DPS weapon, allowing you to weave in and out of the enemy's range mid-combo. It has a good mix of single-target and AoE options, making it viable for most content in the game. |
| Martial Arts | Explanation |
|---|---|
Heavenquaker Spear
|
The Heavenquaker Spear is a powerful option when fighting groups of enemies because one of its skills provides a buff that increases your damage based on how many hits the skill lands. The only downside of this weapon is that it struggles to obtain the maximum buff against single targets, such as bosses, even if you equip its specific internal arts which require bleeding stacks to activate. |
Infernal Twinblades
|
The Infernal Twinblades is an unrelenting weapon capable of dishing out fast attacks that overwhelm enemies but offers low defensive capabilities. It has great mobility, allowing you to chase down enemies quickly, but it lacks AoE damage. Its Flamelash mode offers significant buffs, but maximizing it in solo content is difficult. It is not enough to sustain yourself, and you will still need to dodge attacks to survive, which breaks your combo. |
Thundercry Blade
|
The Thundercry Blade is slow but powerful, with charged attacks that pack a punch. It can also provide you with shields that scale with your maximum HP, allowing you to tank hits while charging. It is the perfect weapon for tank users, but its downside is that blocking or dodging cancels your charge. This is a significant drawback, as defensive actions remain essential despite having your shield on. |
Nameless Spear
|
The Nameless Spear has excellent burst damage thanks to its fast-hitting charged heavy attack, supplemented by the Endurance reduction buffs from its skills. The downside of this weapon is its short range so its a bit lacking when fighting multiple ranged enemies and you are always in range of enemy attacks. |
| Martial Arts | Explanation |
|---|---|
Mortal Rope Dart
|
The Mortal Rope Dart shines with its fast attacks and can summon a Might Rat to continuously attack enemies as you hit them. This weapon has decent range but lacks AoE abilities. The Might Rat makes it a decent secondary weapon option, but it is a bit lacking, considering that the rat lasts for only 10 seconds before you need to swap back and summon it again. |
Vernal Umbrella
|
The Vernal Umbrella has the most range of any weapon. It can be used as a primary weapon or as a secondary projectile-dealing turret; this turret function is similar to the Infernal Blades' Might Rat but requires charging to activate. Its charged light attacks allow you to float while dealing damage, but this move is not entirely safe. You can still be hit by certain enemy attacks while airborne and will be vulnerable upon landing, as the move consumes stamina. |
Inkwell Fan
|
The Inkwell Fan has good mobility, range, and can launch enemies into the air to dish out a decent combo. The downside of this weapon is the inconsistency of its combo, as foes can withstand being launched during certain animations, or the attack can miss if the enemy is also mobile. |
Stormbreaker Spear
|
The Stormbreaker Spear offers one of the least damage out of all weapons in the game, since its kit focuses on improving defense. It provides a decent damage reduction buff and can apply Vulnerable to enemies, which makes it a decent option for a secondary weapon. However, it is a lesser choice compared to other weapons, unless it is specifically paired with the Thundercry Blade. |
Weapon Martial Arts are primarily used for combat. Martial Arts that excel in any aspect of combat, such as dealing damage, providing support, or offering crowd control, will rank higher on the list.
Martial Arts that demonstrate strong adaptability, whether used as a primary or secondary weapon. Their overall synergy potential is considered, though specific weapon pairings are not a determining factor in ranking.
Martial Arts that are viable with minimal investment will rank higher on the list. We believe that every weapon is viable with sufficient investment, so we are considering the level of investment required to perform well as a key factor in our rankings.
Martial Arts that are viable, commonly required in parties, or highly recommended for multiplayer content are also key factors in determining their placement on the tier list.
