This is a guide on how to befriend Qiu Fengxi in the AI Chat menu in Where Winds Meet. Call out Qiu Fengxi's bluff and be sarcastic with him, with a list of specific AI Chat prompts.
How to Befriend Qiu Fengxi
Call Out Qiu Fengxi on His Lies
Play along with Qiu Fengxi's lies at first and then once you are far in the conversation, ask him if he is lying and then roleplay into asking one of the chefs if they know him. Tell him they don't know and then roleplay into reporting him which has a high chance of him befriending you.
Example of Successful Conversation
(squares his shoulders, chest out, chin lifted) I'm delighted you've come to Revelry Hall and brought your own opinions. Tell me, are there any authentic dishes on the new menu? Nothing beats a Nimbus Tower holiday for true refinement, but I suppose Revelry Hall will do. |

How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.
