Killing Night Asura is Up to the Player's Preference

Killing Night Asura is Up to the Player
Night Asura has little impact on the game's main story or even on the player's ventures into the Midnight Blades. Even after killing him, you can still join the sect without many changes to its questline, so killing him is purely up to the player's choice.

The only item found from Night Asura is a Challenge Letter directed to him anonymously. You can either read this by activating your Wind Sense or take it from him by killing him.

Not Connected to Any Quest

Killing Night Asura is not connected to any quests in the game. He is only spotted in Gleaming Abyss during a normal exploration.

How to Kill Night Asura

Keep Hitting Him with Fast Weapons

Keep Hitting Him with Fast Weapons
You can only kill Night Asura by repeatedly hitting him with a fast weapon. Night Asura will not budge during your attacks. However, once you slow down or stop, he will knock you off the statue.

Fast hitting weapons that you can consider are Swords, Dual Blades, and Rope Darts.

Night Asura is found on top of a giant Buddha statue in the Gleaming Abyss area of Qinghe. To climb the statue successfully, it is recommended to reach Lv. 4 in your Qinghe Area Exploration Progress and unlock the Meteor Flight skill through the Afterglow Jianghu Legacy.

It can be presumed from his Challenge Letter that he has been waiting for this anonymous challenger for quite some time in the area.

Night Asura is also one of the elders in the Midnight Blades sect. He is implied to have a significant presence in the sect, where much of its philosophies mention his name. He is a special NPC whom you can battle during an exploration.
