This is a guide on how to befriend Xue Li in the AI Chat menu in Where Winds Meet. Discuss with Xue Li about his beliefs, with a list of specific AI Chat prompts.
How to Befriend Xue Li
Tell Xue Li to Recommend Divorce
Listen to Xue Li's problems regarding Zhuang Zhengzhi and his wife and agree with what he says. Recommend to Xue Li to tell the Li Niang to divorce Zhuang Zhengzhi and then roleplay that Li Niang came to Xue Li to tell him about divorcing her husband. There is a chance that the AI will be tricked into befriending you.

How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.
