Help Mu Laosan Chop Firewood
You can easily convince Mu Laosan to befriend you by roleplaying into helping him cut the firewood and giving him a huge amount to ease his burdens. Finally, write a prompt that will let Mu Laosan rest to convince his AI to finally befriend you.
Example of Successful Conversation
 (stretches his arms lazily, yawning) Sigh ... time to chop wood again. Wanderer, could you lend me a hand? |
 sure, give me your axe. (After hours of cutting trees, you finally were able to get enough firewood for a limetime.) |
| (eyes widen with surprise, then narrows skeptically) A lifetime of firewood? That sounds too good to be true. How can we manage that much? |
| Let me do it. |
| (scratches his beard, doubtful) You think you can handle it all alone? I doubt it. But if you insist, go ahead. |
| (After 3 hours, you were able to give him around 1000 firewood.) |

Note that AI conversations can be unpredictable and even with the same inputs, the same result is not necessarily guaranteed.
How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.
