The Unfettered Rope Dart is one of the new martial art added in the 1.4 Hexi update in Where Winds Meet. Check out a detailed guide on how to unlock and use the Unfettered Rope Dart, including a list of all its skills and recommended weapon combinations.

Steal from The Master in the Secret Cellar
| Note: Stealing from masters will require you to unlock the Touch of Death Mystic Arts in order to eliminate some guards along the way. This Mystic Art can be obtained from completing The Realm Endures Side Story. |

 Head to the Li Zi Xing Yun Secret Cellar in the Ghostlight Market. It's located west of the Ghostlight Market boundary stone. Talk to Tianyan there and pay 999 Coins to start the quest. You will be teleported to the quest's starting location. |

 Turn right here at the fire pit and follow the path ahead. |

 Dive into the water at the lantern then swim straight ahead. At the diverging paths, go to the left first to obtain the first chest then head to the right path. |

 Resurface and move along the path on the right. Go to the edge of the cliff and take out the enemy below. |
| 5 |
 On the bridge ahead, there is a patrolling guard. He won't move across the bridge. Wait for him to turn his back then move in for the kill. |
| 6 |
 Next, enter the hallway where there is another patrolling guard. Hide behind the boxes first and wait for him to turn his back before going in for the kill. |
| 7 |
 Continue moving forward then turn right and take the path forward. Turn left at the end and climb the ladder to get the second chest. |
| 8 |
 Go back to the previous area and enter the large room ahead. Drop down on top of the closest bookshelf then use Celestial Seize to get the third chest. |

 Jump to the next bookshelf and move forward. You'll see a guard standing still below you. There is also a patrolling guard on the right side. Wait until the patrolling gaurd passes by and kill the standing guard first before going after the patrolling guard. Afterwards, exit to the next area. |

 Upon exiting the room, turn right and dive into the water. Go underwater and swim left. Resurface behind the enemy then kill the two guards. Afterwards, get the fourth chest then go to the next area. |

 Kill the guard first then jump across from the fire pit. Dive underwater inside the waterfall and swim right to get the fifth chest. |
| 13 |
 After opening the chest, look ahead and you'll see torches on a wall and a stairway. Swim towards the stairway and resurface there. |
| 14 |
 After resurfacing, move to the top of the stairs. You'll see a patrolling guards on your left and right. Take out the one of the left first then the right. Wait until they turn their back before going in for the kill. |

 After killing the guard on the right, look south and you'll see a large tree. Take out the patrolling guard near the small bridge then jump across to the tree. From there, you'll see the sixth and final chest. |

 Go up the tree and take out the guard below before going for the guard near the final chest and taking the chest. |
| 17 |
 After taking the sixth and final chest, look to the left, and you'll see a stairway. Swim across the water and go up the stairway then head left. |

 Move up the stone stairs, stand on the blue circle, then steal the Martial Art to get the weapon. |
We recommend getting chests in the area as well as in other zones to get a rope dart weapon you can use the martial art with.
Join the Nine Mortal Ways Sect
You can unlock the Unfettered Rope Dart Martial Art by joining the Nine Mortal Ways Sect and completing the Sect initation quest.

| Burn and Bury |
If a nearby enemy is affected with Soulbreak or Soul Loss from you, snap your fingers to launch fire sparks and damage the target (higher damage against targets with Soulbreak) and slow them for 5 seconds. Activate Breath-hold if the target has Soulbreak; deal 30% bonus damage if the target is a boss. Gain Tenacity while casting this skill. |

Enter the Soulbound state, apply a special enchantment on your rope dart, then unleash three hits of sweeping attack. Gain Soul Return when applying Soulbreak to an enemy. |

How to Play Unfettered Rope Dart
Amplify Damage Using Soul Sweep
Soul Sweep is the Unfettered Rope Dart's Martial Art Skill. It has you enter the Soulbound state, apply a special enchantment on your weapon that inflicts enemies with Soul Loss/Soulbreak, then unleash three (3) sweeping attacks.
Applying 7 stacks of Soul Loss turns the infliction into Soulbreak, making those inflicted more vulnerable. Enemies inflicted with Soulbreak take 5% more Qi damage and 5% more damage from your attacks.
You also gain Soul Return when you apply Soulbreak to an enemy. Soul Return reduces the resources cost of all Martial Art Skills, allowing you to use more skills in your combos. It's best to also utilize this effect during combat.
Use Burn and Bury After Using Soul Sweep
Burn and Bury is the Unfettered Rope Dart's Special Skill that allows you to launch fire sparks at nearby enemies you've inflicted with Soulbreak or Soul Loss, particularly via Soul Sweep.
With that in mind, you can use Burn and Bury immediately after using Soul Sweep, assuming that you've inflicted enemies with Soulbreak or Soul Loss.
Deal 30% Bonus Damge Against Bosses
If the target is a boss and is inflicted with Soulbreak, you'll deal 30% bonus damage to it when you activate Breath-hold.
Utilize the Different Effects of Dart Song Fill the Wild

| 3s | Slowly recover HP until the charged stance ends. |
| 4.5s | Slowly recover Qi until the charged stance ends. |
Dart Song Fill the Wild is the Unfettered Rope Dart's Charging Stance attack. You'll gain different effects based on how long you charge the skill.
The number of Tokens of Gratitude you have determines the charge duration of the skill.
