How to Get Weapon Compendium Entries

Interact with Objects that Have the Paintbrush Icon

Compendium Entry Paintbrush Icon

The easiest way to reveal a record in the Compendium is to keep an eye out for objects marked with the paintbrush icon. Once you find one, simply interact with it to get its Compendium record.

Collect Antiques from Chests

Antique - Golden Past Tag.png

Most antiques can be found from chests scattered throughout the overworld. Acquiring them already unlocks the compendium, but learning its history completes the entry's trace.

Collect Materials and Items While Exploring

Collecting Items for Records

Some Compendium records will be obtained by amassing a collection of regular items and materials (like wood, plants, and ingredients). To make sure you get these recorded, collect everything that isn't tacked down as you explore the world.

Wooden Arrow	This compendium entry is unlocked by default at the beginning of the game.
Fire Arrow	Location: Riverside Station, Moonveil Mountain Complete the Archery Competition with a Grade A result near Riverside Station to unlock this entry.
Toxic Arrow	Location: Sorrowfield Village, Granary of Plenty Complete Twelve Years of Feuds, the 06 Jianghu Legacy in Kaifeng to unlock this entry.
Mountain Armor	Location: General's Shrine, Verdant Wilds Interact with the large statue inside the main building of the General's Shrine.
Phoenix-Wing Battle Helmet	Location: General's Shrine, Verdant Wilds Interact with the helmet found on top of the statue in the lowest level of the General's Shrine.
Fierce Fire Oil Cabinet	Location: Blissful Retreat, Moonveil Mountain Completing Chapter 1 main quest first. From the entrance go straight down the stairs, then take the second door on your left. Head on, then go up the first ramp to your right. Go to the end of the ramp, and into the next room. Interact with the cannon to get this entry.
Sideplate	Location: Masterwood Hamlet, Jadewood Court Interact with the armor placed on the table near the hamlet's east entrance.
Hundred-Forge Steel	Location: Masterwood Hamlet, Jadewood Court Interact with the large cooling pot by the forge to get this entry.

Ritual Crown	Location: Bamboo Retreat, Verdant Wilds The Ritual Crown can be found inside the chest located inside your old derelict home in the Bamboo Abode.
Jiang Wulang Old Spear	Location: Bamboo Retreat, Verdant Wilds Inspect the Loong Pattern near the ruined entrance of your house at the start of the game. You'll pick up the spear during the cutscene.
Lie Yan - Buskins of Loyalty	Location: General's Shrine, Verdant Wilds Find Lie Yan's Finals Words document first in the Secret Chamber under the fort in Northern Vow Ruins. Afterwards, make your way through the passge under General Shrine where you will need to open the chest just after climbing up at end of the path.
Yanyun Armor	Location: Bamboo Abode, Verdant Wilds Interact with the pile of bodies in the center of the last room in the Northern Vow Ruins underground.
Heirloom Artisan Bracers	Location: Blissful Retreat, Moonveil Mountain This antique can be taken from one of the chests in Blissful Retreat.
Chu Qingquan - Crescent Ring	Location: Blissful Retreat, Moonveil Mountain This antique can be found during the main story of Chapter 1. It's in a small chest in a the hidden area under the well behind the Evercare Clinic in Still Shore.
Lovesick Handkerchief	Location: Blissful Retreat, Moonveil Mountain This antique can be taken from one of the chests in Blissful Retreat.
Unfated Tian - Warding Chest Armor	Location: Still Shore, Moonveil Mountain After completing Chapter 1, open the chest near the small statues inside the Evercare Clinic in Still Shore.
Han Xiangxun - Colorful Longevity Thread	Location: Blissful Retreat, Moonveil Mountain After completing Chapter 1, open the small chest under the big tree that's near the shore in Flower Expanse.
Han Xiangxun - Willow Leaf Blade	Location: Blissful Retreat, Moonveil Mountain After completing Chapter 1, get the Mysterious Account on the ground in a small enemy camp in Kilnfire Ridge.
Han Xiangxun - Water Lady Crown	Location: Still Shore, Moonveil Mountain After completing Chapter 1 and reading Water Lady's Notes, open the chest under two banners on the second floor of the Evercare Clinic in Still Shore.
Li Tiegu - Four-Sea Sword	Location: Unbound Cavern, Kaifeng City This antique can be obtained by interacting with the Old Sword near the dead body in the sewers during the Unbound Cavern campaign.
Bei Xiaoyu - Skyward Pendant	Location: Unbound Cavern, Kaifeng City This antique can be obtained after defeating Zhuxie Gule and entering the Ghostlight Market during the Unbound Cavern campaign.
God of Avarice - Golden Toad Bow	Location: Furnace Area, Kaifeng City This antique can be obtained in a golden chest during the Furnace of Righteousness campaign.
God of Avarice - Golden Toad Ring	Location: Furnace Area, Kaifeng City This antique can be obtained after completing the Furnace of Righteousness campaign.
Jiang Wulang - Old Bracers	Location: Blissful Retreat, Moonveil Mountain This antique can be found during the main story of Chapter 1. It's on a wooden shelf in the underground of the wind tower.
Li Zhenzhen - Dusty Wedding Dress	Location: Crimson Cliff, Moonveil Mountain The Dusty Wedding Dress can be obtained during the Blind to the World side quest. The NPC that will start the side quest can be found just north of the Crimson Cliff boundary stone.
Artisan Bracers	Location: Stonewash Strand, Verdant Wilds This item can be found in the house behind Yan Qiren.
Ye Wanshan - Iron Heart Armor	Location: Bodhi Sea, Sundara Land This antique can be obtained in a chest in an abandoned red building after completing the Bodhi Sea quest. After obtaining opening the chest, you then need to talk to an NPC named Jing'an in Witherwilds and ask about the Pagoda of Karma to complete the Antiqity.
Jiang Wulang - Cicada Wing	Location: Blissful Retreat, Moonveil Mountain After completing Chapter 1, open the chests in a small house in Blissful Retreat, then go behind the big tree in that area where you will see a small jar. Interact with it to get the Cicada Wing.
Tang Palace Hairpin	Location: Gleaming Abyss, Moonveil Mountain This antique can be found in a small cave in Gleaming Abyss.
Liu Qingyi - Silver Longevity Lock	Location: Gleaming Abyss, Moonveil Mountain This antique can be obtained during the Mysterious Colossus quest in Gleaming Abyss.
Worn Blade	Location: Halo Peak, Sundara Land This antique can be found near a dead body during the Silent Assassin quest. You have to get the Buddha's Light Jade from the Palace of Annals campaign and Bodhi Sea side quest. Afterwards, you need to place them on top of the Halo Peak's tower then beat the boss.
The Hanging Blade - Engraved Bow	Location: Palace of Annals, Moonveil Mountain Get the Engraved Bow on the top floor of the Palace of Annals. Afterwards, find and enter the secret room and follow the path until you enter a boss fight against Lucky Seventeen. Once you defeat the boss, interact with the stone pillar that appears near the dragon head to secure the Antique.
Master Wei - Dusty Thumb Ring	Location: Palace of Annals, Moonveil Mountain Get the Dusty Thumb Ring on the floor just below the top floor of the Palace of Annals first. Afterwards, find and enter the secret room and take the elevator to the bottom-most level. Once at the bottom-most level, circle to the right of the elevator and go down through the opening to a hidden area and drop to the bottom-most area. Then, head to the hallway there and on your left you will see a letter on a large stone slab. Read the letter to secure the Antique.
Li Zhenzhen - Lunar Bracers	Location: Crimson Cliff, Moonveil Mountain After completing the Blind to the World side quest, solve the puzzle to get the Lunar Bracers from the stone chest at the foot of the statue in the Crimson Cliff lake. Afterwards go inside the Coppergold Hollow Divinecraft dungeon in the eastside of Thousand-Buddha Village and make your way to the third room. In the third room, open the gate on the left side and interact with the bronze statue on the wall to get the Antique.
Zhuxie Gule - Grain Patterened Disc	Location: Unbound Cavern, Kaifeng City This antique can be obtained in a Jewelry Box on the shelf in the Mysterious Woman's room in the Ghost Revelry Hall during the Unbound Cavern campaign.
Shi Shouxin - Wingfall	Location: Martial Temple, Jadewood Court This antique can be found during the An Unholy Prophecy quest in the Martial Temple.
Shi Shouxin - Rampage	Location: Martial Temple, Jadewood Court This antique can be found during the An Unholy Prophecy quest in the Martial Temple.
Murong Yanzhao - Sovereign	Location: Martial Temple, Jadewood Court This antique can be found during the An Unholy Prophecy quest in the Martial Temple.
Murong Yanzhao - Triumph	Location: Martial Temple, Jadewood Court This antique can be found during the An Unholy Prophecy quest in the Martial Temple.
Li Jun - Blackcloud Long Sword	Location: Martial Temple, Jadewood Court This antique can be found during the An Unholy Prophecy quest in the Martial Temple.
Li Jun - Silver Spear of Discipline	Location: Martial Temple, Jadewood Court This antique can be found during the An Unholy Prophecy quest in the Martial Temple.
Bai Rong - Peach Blossom Pendant	Location: Velvet Shade, Kaifeng City This antique can be obtained in a small chest on a boat in Velvet Shade after completing the Peach Blossoms Herald Sping wandering tale.
Hua Jieyu - Begonia Jade Disc	Location: Velvet Shade, Kaifeng City This antique can be obtained after completing the Reverie of Blossoms wandering tale in Velvet Shade. However, you also need to complete the Shadows in Bloom Jiangu Legacy quest first.
Chu Yun - Jade of Way	Location: Masterwood Hamlet, Jadewood Court This antique can be obtained after completing the Lu and Mo Debate wandering tale. The actual location of the chest is underground, and you have to dive under the small pool in the west building of Masterwood Hamlet.
Murong Yuan - Eagle Ring	Location: Jinming Pool, Jadewood Court The antique can be obtained after completing the Jinming Pool campaign.
Zhu Yu - Red Fish Sword	Location: Fishwood River, Roaring Sands The Red Fish Sword can be obtained during the River's Fury side quest. You'll receive it automatically after a cutscene near the end.
Feng Yu - Red Sleeve Disc	Location: Fishwood River, Roaring Sands The Red Sleeve Disc can be obtained as a reward after completing The River's Fury side quest.
Zhu Yu - Dragon's Rite Scroll	Location: Heavenfall, Roaring Sands Open the small chest inside a house during the Heavenfall Lost Chapter quest. You'll need to finish the quest first to get the Antique.
Zhu Yu - Red Sleeve Armor	Location: Heavenfall, Roaring Sands Open the chest near a sunken ship during the Heavenfall Lost Chapter quest. You'll need to finish the quest first to get the Antique. If you missed the chest during the mission, you can still obtain the Antique in a chest near a pile on sacks within the same area.
Zheng E - Gilded Longevity Thread	Location: Sorrowfield Village, Granary of Plenty The antique can be obtained by examining the plant under a tree behind the tomb after completing the Twelve Years of Feud Vol. 6 lost chapter quest in Sorrowfield Village.
Zheng E - Snowborne Fan	Location: Ever-Normal Granary, Granary of Plenty This antique can be obtained after completing the Ever-Normal Granary campaign.
Han Xiangxun Peace Pendant	Location: Heaven's Pier, Moonveil Mountain The antique can be found inside a chest in the house behind the General Shop Merchant in Heaven's Pier. Talk to Auntie Tian at noon in the Blacksmith area to activate the Antique.
Brocade Monk's Hook	Location: Mercyheart Monastery, Sundara Land This antique can be obtained by killing Da Huang — a wolf — behind the Mercyheart Monastery outpost then talking to the NPC named Miaojue in Halo Peak.
Hong Si - Coldmoon Blade	Location: Unbound Cavern, Kaifeng City This antique can be obtained by interacting with the Old Mo Blade near the Bell Ringer during the Unbound Cavern campaign.

Get Echo Jade for Finding Records and Hitting Milestones

Compendium Rewards

Each entry in the Compendium will have its own Echo Jade reward when discovered (ranging from 2~5 Echo Jade per record).

Additionally, each reward track will reward you with an increasing number of Echo Jade as you hit higher milestones with your accumulated Compendium Points.
