Gambit Beneath the Shimmer Story Update
The second and final volume of Kaifeng will feature a new campaign, Supreme Freedom. The story update has a prerequisite of completing Shadows in Bloom and Furnace of Heaven and Earth, along with 6,000 Kaifeng Exploration Points. Acquiring these tasks will unlock Revelry Hall's fourth-floor key and Shimmer of South Easter Eggs.
Replaying the campaign may reward you with a new decoration, Into the Dream via the Season Shop. You will also be rewarded with an accessory, A Zephyr's Answer, after accomplishing all Kaifeng campaigns.
Gambit Beneath the Shimmer Walkthrough and Rewards
Joint Punishment New Feature
Players who commit crimes or escape capture repeatedly can now be sentenced along with their partners, sworn cohorts, masters/apprentices, and friends to Joint Punishment. This applies to associates with an Intimacy of at least 16000.
Bellman's Oath New Encounter
New Encounters Voices in the Air and Bellman's Oath will be introduced with the new update. It has a prerequisite of completing another quest, Melodies of Peace.
For these Encounters, you will need to restore the bell at the peak of Peace Bell Tower by burying Moonlit Flower Seeds.

Boss Dummy Training Ground Update
Summoning a Boss Dummy will now be possible in the Training Grounds via Sword Trials. This includes three types of dummies that you can train with: Timed Boss Dummy, Fixed-HP Boss Dummy, and Free Boss Dummy.
Divination New Gameplay
A new gameplay will come to the game after January 9, 2026, where sectless players can visit Yuanzhen, a Mysterious Daoist, at Qinghe - Harvestfall Village for a Divination gameplay.

The Gilded Chase New Lost Chapter
A bounty for Jun Bu Jian will be posted on the Bounty Board after January 16, 2026. It has a prerequisite of completing A Horse Neighs in the Forest main quest.
Completing The Gilded Chase Lost Quest will reward items with Lingering Melodies and Echo Jades.

Mistveil Prison New Map
On January 16, 2026, a new adventure awaits at Mistveil Prison! A new character will reveal themself to you to guide you on your journey. This stage is designed for Solo Mode.

Whispers Beneath the Moon New Lost Chapter
On January 26, 2026, another Lost Chapter, Whispers Beneath the Moon, can be activated after talking to Xiao Shi in a hidden hall in Prosperity Heaven. It has a prerequisite of reaching at least Level 32 and completing the New Arrival in Kaifeng main quest.
Completion of the Lost Chapter will reward various items, including the following: Cool Breeze Fan accessory, Little Matchmaker hero title, and Echo Jades.
Whispers Beneath the Moon Walkthrough and Rewards
Nine Mortal Ways Base New Map
On January 23, 2026, the Nine Mortal Ways Base will become an accessible area globally. This will be located underground of the Ghostlight Market in Kaifeng.
Players can learn new skills and receive generous rewards, such as Lingering Melodies, the Notorious Rodent hero title, and the following accessories: Stone of My Heart, Iron Rice Bowl, and Golden Rat.

The Guild Battle - Preseason event is divided into two phases. During the Preparation Phase, you can form a guild with other players while learning new skills before venturing into the Battlegrounds.
On the other hand, matchmakings will be available during the Competition Phase, where you can now participate in actual Guild Battles. If you want to find other players for your guild, check out our Guild Recruitment Board below!
First Jianghu Martial Games

The Jianghu Martial Games will feature the following events and activities upon update: Faster - Elder Express, Higher - Masters Rise from Flat Ground, and Stronger - Test of Courage. Together - Myriad Boards will come later on January 12, 2026.
Completion and participation in these events will reward you with various event-limited items, such as accessories and Guild titles. This event will run from January 9, 2026, to February 3, 2026.
Gifts for Fledgling and Friends

On January 9, 2026, after the maintenance update, all players in the game will be on a Fledgling status for the next 14 days. Earn Fledgling Growth Chests and Fledgling Appearance Chests for additional items.

Swallow's Bond

The Swallow's Bond is intertwined with the Fledgling event, where players at least Level 60 at the start of the event are given the Guide Swallow status. Otherwise, they will be considered as Fledglings.
Obtain cultivation item rewards and appearance rewards by completing event objectives with friends. This event will also run from January 9, 2026, to March 5, 2026.

Photo Mode Optimization
On January 9, 2026, photo mode will have upgraded features and tools. The Real Multi-Lightning Effects includes three adjustable light sources during photo shots, while the Wallpaper-Quality Ultra HD Mode offers a 2x device resolution for 4k wallpaper quality images.
Photo Mode will now also include a Night Mode for better captures in the dark, along with more enhancements being added to the optimization.
Promise Keeper
On January 9, 2026, the exclusive Hero Title, Promise Keeper, will be unlocked after accumulating enough Never-Delay Feathers. This can be collected by defeating bosses in the Hero's Realm and Sword Trial.
Optimization: Co-op for Wandering Paths
Players can now return directly to the Co-op Room after Wandering Paths activities, as long as the Team Host enables this setting.
Optimization: Assist Signpost
More appearances can be unlocked through Assist Signposts by garnering a certain number of likes. This will also be considered in Assistance Rankings and Weekly Rankings to gain more appearances and Echo Jades.
Other players can now opt in to help in Solo Mode Boss fights through the Heroic Shadow Assist.
New Feature: Auto-Recycle and Gear Retrieval
Auto-Recycle can now be enabled by going to Gear Recycling via Bag in the menu. If you accidentally recycle a gear, you can recover it through Gear Retrieval. All recycled materials in the past 7 days are still retrievable.
New Feature: Exploration Book
The Exploration Book includes the Weekly Digest and Unexplored Tales. In the Weekly Digest, you can create a personalized weekly must-do of gameplay recommendations or edit weekly gameplay checklists.
On the other hand, Unexplored Tales will begin recommending you quests that you might have missed out on.
Web Account Center
Another web-based account center will be added for account bindings. More features will be added and announced soon.
Patch Note: Controller Optimizations
Controllers now come with Touchpad support and a simplified Voice Input that optimizes text input experiences. Global Cursors have also been added to Controllers for seamless interface control and precise point-and-click actions in the game.
Additionally, a replacement melee button layout for Vernal Umbrella is now available in the key settings.
