On January 23, 2026, the Nine Mortal Ways Base was opened for players to fully explore. This area serves as an extension to the Ghostlight Market of Kaifeng. Along with the new exploration map come new quests, new events, and the mysterious Mistveil City.

Some of the highlights of Version 1.2 are the introduction of the last Jianghu Legacy quest for Kaifeng and new Encounters for both regions. The last Jianghu Legacy, Gambit Beneath the Shimmer, will require you to reach 6000 Exploration progress in Kaifeng to unlock.
Joint Punishment New Feature
Players who commit crimes or escape capture repeatedly can now be sentenced along with their partners, sworn cohorts, masters/apprentices, and friends to Joint Punishment. This applies to associates with an Intimacy of at least 16000.
Boss Dummy Training Ground Update
Summoning a Boss Dummy was an added feature in the Training Grounds via Sword Trials. This included three types of dummies that you can train with: Timed Boss Dummy, Fixed-HP Boss Dummy, and Free Boss Dummy.

Divination New Gameplay
A new gameplay was released to the game after January 9, 2026, where sectless players can visit Yuanzhen, a Mysterious Daoist, at Qinghe - Harvestfall Village for a Divination gameplay. The Divination will provide recommendations on which sects that players can opt for.
New World Boss: Nameless General
Face the thundering wrath of the Nameless General in the new update, as you can now encounter this formidable World Boss in the Martial Temple. Be prepared for his quick dashes, as he can instantly close the gap!
Nameless General Location and How to Beat
New Area: Mistveil Dungeon
On January 15, 2025 the Mistveil Dungeon was opened for all players to explore. Test your wits and courage in this eerie dungeon and try to collect all 19 chests found inside!

The update also comes with new events, most of which are focused on co-op play through guilds. We recommend everyone to check out our Guild Recruitment Board to find players or guilds that align with your playstyle and goals!
Additional Cosmetics
The update also comes with long-awaited cosmetics, such as the Nine-Tails Legacy and Dragon Protector Outfits. More are expected to come throughout January!

The Guild Battle - Preseason event was divided into two phases. During the Preparation Phase, players can form a guild with other players while learning new skills before venturing into the Battlegrounds. On the other hand, matchmakings were made available during the Competition Phase, where everyone can now participate in actual Guild Battles.
First Jianghu Martial Games

The Jianghu Martial Games featured following events and activities upon update: Faster - Elder Express, Higher - Masters Rise from Flat Ground, Stronger - Test of Courage, and Together - Myriad Boards. Completion and participation in these events rewarded players with various event-limited items, such as accessories and Guild titles. This event ran from January 9, 2026, to February 3, 2026.
Gifts for Fledgling and Friends

On January 9, 2026, after the maintenance update, all players in the game were on a Fledgling status for the next 14 days. Earning Fledgling Growth Chests and Fledgling Appearance Chests gave out additional items. This event will ran from January 9, 2026, to March 5, 2026.
Swallow's Bond

The Swallow's Bond was intertwined with the Fledgling event, where players at least Level 60 at the start of the event were given the Guide Swallow status. Otherwise, they will be considered as Fledglings.
Obtain cultivation item rewards and appearance rewards by completing event objectives with friends. This event will run from January 9, 2026, to March 5, 2026.

Photo Mode Optimization
On January 9, 2026, photo mode had additional upgraded features and tools. The Real Multi-Lightning Effects included three adjustable light sources during photo shots, while the Wallpaper-Quality Ultra HD Mode offered a 2x device resolution for 4k wallpaper quality images.
Photo Mode also included a Night Mode for better captures in the dark, along with more enhancements to the optimization.
Promise Keeper
On January 9, 2026, the exclusive Hero Title, Promise Keeper, was unlocked after accumulating enough Never-Delay Feathers. This could be collected by defeating bosses in the Hero's Realm and Sword Trial.
Optimization: Co-op for Wandering Paths
Players could now return directly to the Co-op Room after Wandering Paths activities, as long as the Team Host enabled this setting.
Optimization: Assist Signpost
More appearances could be unlocked through Assist Signposts by garnering a certain number of likes. This was considered in Assistance Rankings and Weekly Rankings to gain more appearances and Echo Jades.
Other players can now opt in to help in Solo Mode Boss fights through the Heroic Shadow Assist.
New Feature: Auto-Recycle and Gear Retrieval
Auto-Recycle can be enabled by going to Gear Recycling via Bag in the menu. If you accidentally recycle a gear, you can recover it through Gear Retrieval. All recycled materials in the past 7 days are still retrievable.
New Feature: Exploration Book
The Exploration Book included the Weekly Digest and Unexplored Tales. In the Weekly Digest, you can create a personalized weekly must-do of gameplay recommendations or edit weekly gameplay checklists.
On the other hand, Unexplored Tales will begin recommending you quests that you might have missed out on.
Web Account Center
Another web-based account center was added for account bindings. More features will be added and announced soon.
Patch Note: Controller Optimizations
Touchpad Support was added to controllers and a simplified Voice Input that optimizes text input experiences. Global Cursors have also been added to Controllers for seamless interface control and precise point-and-click actions in the game.
Additionally, a replacement melee button layout for Vernal Umbrella became available in the key settings.
