Main Story Chapters
Where Winds Meet currently has two chapters available with 9 main quests that can be completed.
There Is a Cap on Daily Progression
Currently, the main story is capped to a certain number of main quests you can do in a day, preventing you from progressing too quickly. It is only on the following day you are able to complete the next set of main quests.

Explore Regions to Clear Up Map
Explore to gain a full view of the map, which reveals icons indicating the quests and activities that you can do. Clear up the map early by interacting with Wayfarers to unlock portions of a region. Take the time to unlock Boundary Stones to fast travel between points as well.
Do Side Quests to Level Up and Earn Rewards
Due to how vast the world is, it is recommended to exhaust side quests to earn a variety of rewards and level up while progressing the main story. These rewards range from currency and EXP to valuable techniques like Mystic Arts to enhance your combat prowess.

Select Acupoints for a chance at special effects. In combat, chance to Immobilize and break Vital Points. Unlocks During: Meridian Touch |

Pulls distant objects. In combat, disarms an enemy and performs a counter attack with their own weapon. Unlocks During: Foul Play |

 Cloud Steps
|
Leap high to slam down or hold breath to jump to marked spots. In combat, stomps on an enemy's shoulders. Unlocks During: Echoes in the Shrine |

It is recommended to find all four Puzzle Mystic Arts early as they can help with exploration and combat. Not only that, you can use these Mystic Arts to solve puzzles and fight bosses. You can get these Mystic Arts by exploring the map and doing side quests.
Take Note of Restrictions in Areas
When exploring, watch out for restrictions. These refer to actions you cannot do in specific areas of the game: sprinting, using certain skills, riding your mount, and more. Restrictions tend to be imposed in small or tight spaces and are generally absent when exploring the wide world.
Can You Progress Main Quests in Multiplayer?
Some Main Quests Require Singleplayer
Where Winds Meet allows the host to invite up to three players to their game. Certain quests can be done with fellow players, while some require the host to complete them solo.
On the other hand, the game's multiplayer mode in the Jianghu world is limited to cooperative missions that do not intersect with the main story.
What Is the Current Chapter of Where Winds Meet?
Where Winds Meet Is Currently on Chapter 2
As of now, Where Winds Meet has finished the second chapter Universal Furnace, culminating in the fifth main quest Furnace of Righteousness released on November 29, 2025.
A New Season Updates Quarterly
Where Winds Meet releases a new season every three months with various major and minor updates to each patch for that season. These updates may cover new story content, balance fixes, in-game events, and additions to the cash shop.
