Path: Bellstrike - Splendor

We'll be swapping both weapons often but the main source of damage will be the Nameless Sword and its charged attacks while Heavenquaker's Spear is focused on applying buffs and AoE melee damage.

Inner Ways Details
Morale Chant Icon Morale Chant
100% chance to gain one stack of Yi River when attacking or healing: Increases Physical Penetration by 2 and damage and healing by 1% for 12 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. The chance to gain Yi River is only calculated once every 2 seconds.
Sword Morph Icon Sword Morph
When Nameless Sword's Charged Skill, Vagrant Sword is charged while the Qi shield is present, it unleashes multiple additional sword energy attacks at the 2nd charging stage. You can consume bonus Endurance to increase the sword energy's damage; each Endurance increases damage by 1%, up to 20%.
Wolfchaser Wolfchaser's Art
For the Nine-Bend Spirit-Stealing Spear Martial Skill Sorrow Without Wine, the Combo count required to grant buff effects is reduced from 5/10 to 4/8. Each time Sorrow Without Wine hits any target afflicted with your own Bleed effect, based on the number of Bleed stacks, there is a 60%/70%/80%/90%/100% chance to add 1 extra Combo count.
Adaptive Steel Icon Adaptive Steel
Gain a Weapon Mastery effect based on your current Blade Weapon. The Weapon Mastery effects (see below) have the following cooldowns: Sword - 6 seconds, Dual Blades - 10 seconds, Heng Blade - 20 seconds.

Possible Effects:
・Sword: 100% chance to apply one stack of Bleed to the target when dealing Affinity DMG.
・Spear: Attacks ignore 12.5% of target's Physical Defense.
・Dual Blades: After a Perfect Dodge, increases the next Martial Arts Skill damage within 8 seconds by 25%.
・Mo Blade: Increases the Critical DMG of Charged Skill and Parry Counter Skills by 20%
・Heng Blade: After a deflection, increases the damage of Light/Heavy Attack Varied Combo by 5% for 5 seconds.

For our Inner Ways, we always run Morale Chant for its reliable passive damage boost that scales naturally with our constant hit pressure, while Sword Morph is the core of the build, enabling multi-wave Sword Energy bursts and scaling our charged damage windows.

Wolfchaser’s Art improves buff uptime and smooths combo flow to better capitalize on Heavenquaker Spear’s damage amplification, and Adaptive Steel adds consistent bleed application on Affinity hits, further increasing sustained pressure and overall damage output.

Mystic Arts Effects
Dragon Dragon's Breath
Drink to enter Intoxicated. Breath fire with Qi, dealing damage over 2 hits plus Ignition. Gain 15% Damage Reduction and Fortitude. Intoxicated: Lasts 30s. Dragon's Breath and Drunken Poet can be used without drinking. Ignition: Target takes damage every 0.5s for 8s.
Drunken Poet Icon Drunken Poet
Drink deeply to enter the Intoxicated state, imitating the drunken grace of the Poet Immortal. Cast repeatedly for up to 5 strikes, each consuming 6 Vitality. Intoxicated: Lasts 30s. Dragon's Breath and Drunken Poet can be used without drinking.
Cloud Steps Icon Cloud Steps
Stomp on an enemy's shoulder to deal Physical Damage, other Attribute Damage effective against Cavalry and other units with Unstable Poise.
Soaring Spin Icon Soaring Spin
Channel your Qi into a roaring thrust, dealing damage to units along the path. Then suddenly shift stance into a spiraling follow-up strike that catches enemies off-guard. Hitting a target reduces their Healing Received by 60% over 5s.

Trigger Burn with Dragon’s Breath, then activate Drunken Poet to instantly detonate that lingering damage into a sharp burst window. Together, they create a far deadlier spike than either skill can produce alone, turning steady pressure into immediate punishment.

Meanwhile, Cloud Steps serves as your reliable engage and chase tool, letting you stay glued to targets that try to disengage. It becomes particularly crucial in encounters against mounted bosses like Sleeping Daoist and Ye Wanshan, where mobility is the difference between maintaining uptime and watching your damage ride away.

Soaring Spin lunges you forward, deals damage, and reduces the target's healing received, making it excellent as a gap-closer while also crippling sustain-heavy enemies, both PvE and PvP.

Alternative Mystic Arts for PvP

Mystic Arts Effects
Leaping Toad Icon Leaping Toad
Flip back to knock back and damage enemies, then lunge to apply Toad Venom. The third cast becomes Golden Toad Crash, a knockdown AoE slam. Toad Venom: Explodes after 5 seconds or on death. Can be Detonated by Lion's Roar.
Serene Breeze Icon Serene Breeze
Channel Qi into your body to clear blockages in the veins. Can be used while under attack or control effects. On hit, reduces the target's Endurance recovery by 50% and deals damage for 8s.
Wolflike Frenzy Icon Wolflike Frenzy
Knock down an enemy, followed with rapid strikes, and finish with an upward swing that disables the target. Effective against Cavalry and other units with Unstable Poise. Unstable Poise: These units have a Stance bar near their HP. Stance-break deals special hit and Physical damage.

In addition to the Mystic Skills used for PvE, Serene Breeze is mandatory in PvP because it lets you break out of crowd control and enemy combos to reset and reposition safely. Leaping Toad is excellent for disrupting opponents with knockback and knockdown to control spacing, and Wolflike Frenzy provides heavy burst damage while granting Super Armor so your pressure cannot be easily interrupted.

Set Gear

Stat Group Recommended Substats
Hawkwing Icon Hawkwing

Weapon
2 Set Effect: +0.1% Affinity Rate
4 Set Effect: When any of your damage triggers Affinity, gain Hawkwing: Increases Physical Attack by 2% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times.
Eaglerise Icon Eaglerise

Armor
2 Set Effect: +1 Physical Defense
4 Set Effect: Dealing damage over time or healing grants 1 stack of Eaglerise: Reduces damage taken by 1.2% for 10 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. At max stacks, receives an Eagle Guard effect that reduces the next incoming damage within 10 seconds by 90% (halved when the damage comes from a boss). This effect can only trigger once every 30 seconds.

For our sets, the Hawkwing and Eaglerise are perfect due to the passive bonuses we can get the longer the fight goes on. Hawking lets us get ramping damage with our combos which continues due to our melee and ranged options while Eaglerise lets us take hits much easier while getting a strong damage reduction shield on full effect.

Stat Priority

1st Affinity Rate
2nd Min/Max Bellstrike
3rd Momentum
4th Max Physical Attack
5th Power

Affinity Rate should be your top priority due to the build’s high hit count and multi-wave sword energy, letting you trigger stronger bursts consistently, with Min/Max Bellstrike as the secondary to raise the damage ceiling of your charged skills. Momentum further enhances both Affinity Rate and Max Physical Attack, making your spikes more frequent and harder hitting, while Max Physical Attack boosts the upper limit of every damage roll, and Power increases your overall physical baseline to keep all your hits consistently strong.

Nameless Sword and Heavenquaker Spear Playstyle

Recommended Skill Rotation

  1. Activate Sober Sorrow and immediately animation cancel to secure its buff without losing tempo.
  2. Use Dual Weapon Skill to trigger its offensive effect and maintain pressure during the weapon transition.
  3. Follow with Fearless Lunge to gap-close and stay aggressive while setting up your burst window and make sure to get your Qi shield up.
  4. Fully charge and release Vagrant Sword to unleash your primary sword energy burst under active buffs.
  5. Use Shadow Step to reposition instantly and maintain uptime or avoid retaliation, while benefiting from Tier 1 of Sword Morph to unleash the three waves from Vagrant Sword.
  6. Cast Vagrant Sword again within its conditional window to capitalize on stacked sword energy damage.
  7. Use Soaring Spin to deal damage while re-engaging if needed.
  8. Apply Dragon’s Breath, animation cancel it to maintain combo flow and preserve momentum.
  9. Reapply Dual Weapon Skill and Sober Sorrow as their buffs expire, animation cancelling where possible.
  10. Repeat.

Get Buffs with Sober Sorrow Then Use Nameless Sword's Ranged Wave Attacks

Sober Sorrow lets us activate buffs to strengthen our hits for 12 seconds. This carries over to other weapons which makes it a good combo starter by getting damage bonuses first before commiting to your main combos.

PvP Tips and Tricks

This build revolves around empowering yourself with Heavenquaker Spear before unleashing your real damage through Nameless Sword.

The spear plays a supportive but important role, using the wide reach of Sober Sorrow to pressure and potentially stagger opponents while securing your damage buff. Its charged heavy skill also provides Super Armor, making it a strong option for trading when you need to stand your ground.

  • Open with Drunken Poet before committing. In PvP, whoever engages with active buffs controls the pace.
  • Use Cloud Steps and Soaring Spin for pressure and chase, but do not overcommit Endurance before your burst window is ready.
  • Animation cancel Dragon’s Breath to gain their buffs instantly without leaving yourself exposed.
  • Use Serene Breeze whenever you’re caught in an enemy’s combo to break free and regain control, or break any crowd control on you.
  • Reapply Heavenquaker buffs before major bursts, ensuring your multi-wave Vagrant Sword hits at full amplification.
  • Against the Vernal Umbrella users, parry their Spring Away shots until they land, or use Cloud Steps to bring them down.
  • Hold Cloud Steps as a repositioning and reset option when needed, not just an engage tool.
  • Heavenquaker’s Charged Heavy has Super Armor, which makes it useful for trading when you expect pressure instead of always disengaging.
  • After an execution is a great moment to use Dragon’s Breath followed by Drunken Poet, and you can animation-cancel Dragon’s Breath when needed to keep your pressure flowing smoothly.
  • Use Wolflike Frenzy for quick burst damage. Otherwise, it can be used defensively between enemy attacks to take advantage of its Super Armor and avoid being interrupted.
  • One of your win conditions is landing Vagrant Sword, especially the triple-hit multi-wave release, since it deals massive HP and Qi damage.
  • Threaten with Vagrant Sword even if you do not release it. Simply charging it can force opponents to react early or reposition.
  • Spacing is everything. You need proper distance and timing to safely charge Vagrant Sword without getting parried.
  • In 3v3, look to unleash Vagrant Sword during large team engagements where it can hit multiple targets at once, and maintain safe spacing so you can deal consistent burst without overcommitting.
