Exploration Quest - Initiation Well of Heaven Elder
|
To unlock the Encounter Quest Scammer Victims, you will need to complete the Exploration Quest Initiation: Well of Heaven Elder. After completing this, walk up the path leading to Zhang Yihao's location to trigger the quest.
Initiation: Well of Heaven Elder Walkthrough
Scammer Victims Encounter Missing Trigger
If you can not trigger the quest after finishing Initiation: Well of Heaven Elder follow these steps to initiate the encounter:
- After finishing Initiation: Well of Heaven Elder, advance the time 5-6 days forward.
- Start a new quest, it can be any Encounter or Exploration Quest. You do not need to complete this quest, but do at least one objective from it.
- Make sure that you only have two Encounters active; otherwise the quest will not spawn since you can only have three encounters active at the same time.
- After completing an objective from the current quest, walk down the path leading to where Zhang Yihao is on the cliffs. About as far as where the Mysterious Outpost is.
- From there, walk back up to the top, and the quest should trigger before you reach the tree where Zhang is.
- If you still fail to spawn the quest, log off from the game and repeat from step 1.
Scammer Victims Walkthrough
| Step | Objectives |

| 1 |  Speak with Zhang Yihao, and he will tell you about how the Nine Mortal Ways scams have depleted the sect's resources. He will ask you to meet with Chengshi to settle this matter. Go to his location by the big old pagoda tree near the Porcelain Kiln. |
| 2 |  Chengshi will be sitting on a rock at the base of the pagoda tree. He will tell you that you are the thirty-eight victim who has come to ask for help. He will ask you to go and search for other victims where the Nine Mortal Ways disciples usually hang out. |
| 3 |  Look for the first victim in Finesteed Hamlet. If you have the Boundary Stone unlocked, fast travel to the location. The victim is up in a tree surrounded by geese. Speak with the victim and defeat the geese harassing him. Afterwards, speak with him again and give him 1,000 coins. |
| 4 |  Look for the second victim in Harvestfall Village, he will be laying down on the beach beside a cooking pot. He will be too hungry to speak with you, make him some Steaming Hot Noodles using the pot beside him. After eating Chi Bula , will blame you for his swollen tongue. Give him 1,000 coins to make him feel better. |
| 5 |  Look for the third victim near Porcelain Kiln. Climb over the fence and up the cliff left of the entrance. On the other side, you will see a blocked cave marked with some red cloth. Jump down and speak with the person on the other side. Grab the explosive barrels left of the cave and move them in front of the entrance, shoot them with a Fire Arrow to free the trapped man. After speaking with Long Zai, give him 1,000 Coins for his medical fees. |
| 6 |  Return to the pagoda tree to look for Chengshi. Use Wind Sense to find his tracks and follow them. hide behind some bushes and eavesdrop on his conversation with the victims. You have been scammed again. They were all disciples of the Nine Mortal Ways. |
| 7 |  The real Fang Chengshi arrives. Confront and defeat the fake Chengshi. Sensing his loss, he will throw a money bag at you and flee. Upon checking the bag, you will find it full of counterfeit coins. |
