1. Go to the Appearance Menu

How to Change Hair Color - Appearance Menu
To change your hair color, go to the Appearance Menu. From there, select Hairstyle from the Wardrobe tab or go to the Workshop tab and select Dye.

2. Select Your Hairstyle

Choose a dyeable Hairstyles. This will be marked with a multi-colored icon on the lower right corner of the image.

3. Customize Your Hair Color

Hairstyles have 3 sections you can customize with different colors. The Basic, which is the bulk of your hair, the Gradient, which is a color that starts at the bottom similar to a dip dye effect, and the Highlights, which adds streaks.

You will have two ways to adjust the color: either by using the prepared swatches in the quick window or by manually adjusting the color using the custom window.

There are two Dye types that you can use when changing hair color. The first one is the Basic Hair Dye, which offers more muted colors. The second option is the premium choice using Advanced Hair Dye. Advance Hair Dye is more vibrant, and offers brighter color changes like crimson red or pure white, which you cannot achieve with basic dyes.

4. Use Hairdye to Save to Dye Plan

After adjusting the color to your preference, you will need to use 10 Dyes to confirm the change for both Basic and Advanced Hair Dye.

Each Hairstyle will have 3 Dye Plans available. This will allow you to preset 3 color plans without spending dye again. If you overwrite your existing plan, you will need to spend another 10 dyes to do so.

Cannot Be Changed in Character Creation

In the character creation menu, your hair color will be set to black by default and will not be changeable. Only the color of your facial hair can be changed in this menu, so bear this in mind if you want to match it to your hairstyle.

How to Get Hairdye

The hair color of your character can be changed by obtaining dyes from the In-game Shop. There are also plenty of other cosmetic options available, such as alternate hairstyles that weren't present in the character customization screen.
