This is a guide on how to befriend Li Youxin in the AI Chat menu in Where Winds Meet. Help Li Youxin understand a different way of life, with a list of specific AI Chat prompts.
How to Befriend Li Youxin
Emphasize How Poor You Are
Li Youxin will ask questions on how the common folk live, what your house is made of, what do you do and many more. Give an answer that will emphasize how poor you are. For example, tell him you only live in huts and only eat rice and that you do not have a hobby due to how poor you are. This will make the AI sympathize with you and easily befriend you after the conversation.
Example of Successful Conversation
(sighs, fingers idly tracing the gold
inlay on his sleeve) I've grown weary of
this life, Wanderer. Tell me, how do
you common folk live? |
 We live in small huts and little grains of rice |
(nods slowly, eyes reflecting the pond)
Huts and simple grains, hmm? I've
heard of such places but never seen
them. My meals are served on plates of
gold and silver, adorned with precious
jewels. Yet, they lack the warmth of a
humble home. What else do you eat
besides rice? |

(frowns slightly, running a hand over
the intricate embroidery on his robe) I

delicacies from far and wide, yet none
of it brings the satisfaction you speak

fragile. My home is built with the
finest stones and woods, adorned with
gold and silver. But perhaps it's the
simplicity that gives strength to your

(leans forward slightly, eyes gleaming
with interest) Running around the
village, eh? I've never experienced such
freedom. My outings are always in
grand carriages, escorted by servants. It
must feel incredibly liberating to run
without constraint. Do you have any
favorite games you play? |

(sighs deeply, resting his chin on his
hand) I understand, Poverty must
make even the simplest pleasures
difficult to find. In my household, we

and golden arrows, but they lack the

stolen many experiences from me. In

How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.
