Chapter 2 Walkthrough
New Arrival in Kaifeng
| # | New Arrival in Kaifeng Objectives |
|---|---|
| 1 |  Go to the dock and talk to the boatman about leaving for Kaifeng. If you are not yet ready, you can choose to stay behind first. |
| 2 |  Go to Wheatwind Bazaar and investigate the bustling area with the crowd. After inspecting the Hulking Man's Treasure Basin, defeat him and his companions until Yingying arrives. |
| 3 |  Follow Yingying until you reach an inn, where Yingying will abruptly leave. If you choose to wait on the seat, select the prompt Wait No More to proceed to the next objective. Talk to the waiter outside the inn and pawn the Parting Tears before leaving. |
| 4 |  Buy 20 bags of grain from a traveling merchant in the area. You will have to spend 10,000 Coins to purchase all 20 stocks from one merchant. Then, follow Old Jin to Shopkeeper Fu before selling all the grain to a vendor and redeeming your Parting Tears from the waiter. |
| 5 |  Follow Shopkeeper Fu to the Revelry Hall. On the way there, fight the government guards before hiding from them with Big Zhao. |

New Arrival in Kaifeng Walkthrough

| 1 |  Talk to Big Zhao to board the boat to Revelry Hall. After proceeding inside, follow Big Zhao to change your clothes. Then, return inside Revelry Hall and find the Ember of East's chamber. |
| 2 |  After finding the Ember of East, withstand three waves of enemies to defend the Gold-Making Vessel. After the assault is over, eavesdrop on the Prefect of Kaifeng and Big Zhao's conversation, then talk to Big Zhao. |
| 3 |  Go to the third floor and investigate the mask. Talk to Big Zhao and attempt to see the Ember of East. Afterwards, go to the Entertainment District to end the quest. |

| 1 |  Pass the time until the next day at Chen Hour then make your way to the Forsaken Quarter for a cutscene. After the cutscene, speak to Big Zhao who will recommend you ask clues around the quarter to learn how to access the Ghost Market. ▶ How to Change Time |
| 2 |  Go north from where Big Zhao is standing and interact with the Little Beggar to receive your first clue. |
| 3 |  Next, head west from where the beggar was and approach the building with an open window to get the next clue. |
| 4 |  Make your way to the marked location and, after a cutscene, use the Celestial Seize skill effect to steal Hong Si's scroll from the table. After a chase sequence, speak to Granny Turtle, who will tell a story about a woman who found herself in the Ghostlight Market. ▶ How to Unlock Celestial Seize |
| 5 |  Speak to Yingying for a cutscene where your character confronts her regarding her stealing your money during New Arrival in Kaifeng. |
| 6 |  The Widow and Little Fu will eventually interrupt your conversation, and you'll need to use Wind Sense to track her. Follow her tracks to an open house and interact with the Strange Barrel for a cutscene. |
| 7 |  During the cutscene, Granny Turtle will ask what you want to do regarding Yingying. Little Fu, and the Widow's scams. We recommend you choose the no need to pay option for a more positive dialogue with Granny Turtle and the other characters. |
| 8 |  Enter Granny Turtle's house for a short cutscene. With Big Zhao, piece together clues regarding the Ghostlight Market. Completing the deduction will reveal that the Nine Mortal Ways stole the Treasure Basin. |
| 9 |  You'll wake up in Granny Turtle's house after the cutscene. Inspect the Paper Slip on the table to complete the quest. |

Accident

| 1 |  Meet up with Big Zhao at South Gate Avenue. Then, return to Forsaken Quarter to talk to Yingying and Widow Zhou. Yingying will ask you to select a location to sell treasure basins: Ever-Normal Granary or Jadewood Court. |
| 2 |  If you selected Ever-Normal Granary, meet up with Little Fu at Crosswind Bazaar and sell the treasure basins. Then, regroup with the others back in Forsaken Quarter. Soldiers will arrive to confiscate the Tang coins. Hide the coins between the boxes and haystacks. |
| 3 |  After Lord Shi leaves, comfort Widow Zhou. Return to Granny, then talk to Yingying. While this happens, Granny will slip away. Ask the locals about Granny's whereabouts. Along the way, you will encounter a thug harassing a woman. Lend a hand by defeating the thug. |
| 4 |  Continue down the street where a crowd is gathered. A cutscene will play shortly after. Defeat the guards confiscating the coins. Little Fu will suddenly appear with the coins before fleeing into the Ash Pit. |
| 5 |  Go to the boundary of the Ash Pit. From the roof, eavesdrop on the government soldiers' conversation. Then, head into the pit to find Little Fu. This segment triggers the Unbound Cavern Campaign, which is a prerequisite quest to the next objective in the main story. ▶ Unbound Cavern Walkthrough |
| 6 |  After revealing the Dao Lord's identity, pursue the three sisters to the Ghostlight Market. Find the three sisters in the area. |
| 7 |  Follow the trio to the market's dock to end the quest. |

Furnace of Righteousness

| 1 | Regroup with the Fu Lu Shou sisters and Yingying in the Forsaken Quarter. After Yingying is taken away, rally the commoners to sing ballads before going after Yingying via a convoy headed for the Furnace Area. |
| 2 | In the Furnace Area, sneak past the guards. In a building, defeat the two guards to obtain the map of the camp. Escape the camp after leaving through the window. Watch out for the soldiers' fire arrows! |
| 3 | Locate the dungeon by opening the map and searching the area's vantage points. The building cointaining the dungeon is to the far east side of the courtyard. |
| 4 | Sneaking into the dungeon, you realize you need the key to enter. Find the key-holding guard in a nearby building and use Celestial Seize to snatch the key and unlock the dungeon. Take the elevator to descend into the dungeon depths. |
| 5 | Reuniting with the Fu Lu Shou sisters, enter and investigate the God of Fortune's chamber. With the trio's help, enter the passage hidden behind the revolving shelf. After a cutscene, defeat the invading government soldiers and head back up to defeat Jin Huo. |
| 6 | Ascend to the Furnace. Inside, follow Yuanbao to locate Yingying. Sneak past more guards to enter the elevator, but the Furnace will be alerted of your presence. Escape to the top by running and leaping to safety. |
| 7 | Outside the Furnace, continue your way to the top by leaping for the ledges. At the very top of the Furnace, activate the lever to head back inside. |
| 8 | In a small chamber, activate the lever to access the elevator. Below, proceed through the hall and open the doors to the boss arena. |
| 9 | Defeat the God of Avarice. The boss has two phases, as well as a “third phase” where you cannot deal direct damage. Endure through the battle until the boss is finally defeated in a cutscene. |
| 10 | Skipping to fifteen days later, catch up with Big Zhao and Yingying to end the quest and your journey in Kaifeng. |
