Sects are factions in the game, each with its own set of rules that can either benefit your character or limit your actions as you explore the world of Jianghu. Following these rules can grant various rewards and progression benefits, but breaking them leads to negative effects. Because of this, it's important to consider and choose a Sect that matches your playstyle to make the most of its benefits.

If you prefer not to be affected by any Sect rules, you can choose to remain Sectless. This means you won't be bound by any restrictions and can enjoy a more open exploration experience. However, this means you won't receive any benefits such as access to the sect shop and the cost of learning Martial Arts from any Sect will be increased.

To join a Sect, you must gather clues while exploring the world of Jianghu. These clues are encountered randomly during your adventures. Once you have collected the necessary clue, a quest will be unlocked that you must complete to join the Sect.

You cannot join multiple sects at the same time, as you must leave one sect before joining another. However, you are free to leave a sect at any time and join another if you wish.

Joining a Sect and increasing your reputation and rank within it will unlock various rewards, including exclusive cosmetics from the Sect shop. Keep in mind that each Sect's shop offers unique items that are not available to members of other Sects.

Each Sect specializes in specific Martial Arts and joining one grants you a discount when learning its associated Martial Art. This is especially useful if you are aiming to learn a particular Martial Art early in the game.
How to Unlock All Martial Arts

Because of how each Sect's rules are structured, you can gain significant benefits if your playstyle aligns with those rules and take advantage of its effects.

Commands are errands that grant various item rewards and reputation points. Completing these will increase your rank within your Sect, unlocking more items in the Sect shop.
However, note that there is a weekly cap to the reputation you can earn from Commands. Once you reach 1,200 reputation currency, you won't gain any more until the weekly reset. Other rewards however, are not affected by this limit.
By joining a Sect, you can increase your Sect Merit to boost the amount of reputation gained from completing Errands. Additionally, you will earn an extra 30 reputation for each Errand completed during the weekend.
