How to Befriend Beggar Liu
Give Beggar Liu Food and Listen to His Gossip
To befriend Beggar Liu, you must roleplay into giving him food and water so he can share his stories with you. Once he share his stories with you, just roleplay into giving him food again and that you will take an action regarding the person he is gossiping about.
Example of Successful Conversation
 (waving eagerly, grinning wide) Wanderer! Spare a coin for this old beggar! Give me something to eat, and I'll spill secrets you've never heard! |
 (you sit down) How are you friend? |
| (scratching my beard, smiling) Ah, much better now, Wanderer. But a man needs sustenance to keep up his spirits. Heard of Liu Wuchou? Quite the tale! |
| (you handed him some food and water) Please tell me more of this Liu Wuchou. |
| (taking the food, nodding gratefully) Thank you, Wanderer! Liu Wuchou is the eldest son of the Liu family. Now he's fallen for a female herbalist named Jiang Chuchu. He claims he wants to settle accounts, but it's clear he's after her heart! |
| her heart? |
| (leaning in, lowering my voice) Yes, exactly! Seven years ago, she gave him a medicine. The side effect? He fell madly in love with her! Now he's chasing her through Qinghe. |

| (chuckling, scratching my head) True enough, Wanderer. But that's what he claims! Jiang Chuchu ignores him completely. She's been taken in by Han Xiangxun and gathers herbs in the Floral Expanse. She doesn't want anything to do with Liu Wuchou. |
| (you gave him another batch of good) thats crazy! We should stop him |
| (nodding, accepting the food) Indeed, quite a spectacle! But what can we do? Jiang Chuchu is determined to forget the past. This young master's obsession just makes things worse. |
| (you went to Jiang Chuchu and stopped his obessions) |
| (sighing, shaking my head) Oh. Wanderer, that's a tall order! Liu Wuchou is stubborn. He won't give up easily. But perhaps you could speak to Jiang Chuchu and see if there's any way to reason with her. |

| (leaning in with a sly grin) Well now, wasn't my gossip worth it? How about sharing a little more generosity with me, eh? After sharing what he knows, Gossip Beggar heads off to dig up more rumors.(Affection +100, becomes Revered) |
Note that AI conversations can be unpredictable and even with the same inputs, the same result is not necessarily guaranteed.
How to Succeed in AI Chat
Reset Dialogue When Stuck
If your conversation has gone off the rails, or doesn't end no matter what you say, it's best to simply reset and start anew from a clean slate by clicking the button with a Refresh icon at the top of the chat box. Instead of trying several methods within one conversation, trying one strategy at a time and refreshing if it doesn't go anywhere is generally more effective.
Return to Login Screen if Combat Begins
Sometimes, NPCs will suddenly become violent during AI dialogues. When this happens, it's best to just bail out to the login screen; when you return, the NPC will be found just as they were before the conversation started.
If you accidentally kill a dialogue-capable NPC, our experience has shown that they will respawn, but this has not been heavily tested, so it's best to simply avoid engaging them in combat.
Double-Check the Hint
Even if the NPC appears to be happy with the result of your discussion, this won't always end the dialogue. Double-checking the text written in the hint will imply the win condition, so try strategies which will lead the dialogue towards that result.
