How to Unlock Whispers Beneath the Moon
Find the Trapped Man in his Home in Prosperity Haven

To unlock the Worldly Affair Quest Whispers Beneath the Moon, listen for a man yelling in a home in Prosperity Haven. You will find him between the Xu and Mao hour, climb up the roof and listen to his plea to begin the quest.

1. Help Xiao Shi Escape
| 1.1 |  Follow the waypoint to a house, and you will hear a man yelling inside a locked room. Climb onto the roof and investigate the commotion. Agree to help him escape and avoid marriage. |

| 1.2 |  Lockpick the door to free him; you will need to do this multiple times. Break the final lock and untie Xiao Shi. |
| 1.3 |  Follow him up the roofs to escape the officials. There will be a short cut scene of him complaining about his betrothed. |
2. Visit Shen Lu with Xiao Shi
| 2.1 |  After convincing him to at least take a look at the bride before he runs away, follow Xiao Shi to the Shen estate. Observe his interaction with Shen Yu. |

| 2.2 |  Speak with Xiao Shi, he wants to repay Shen Yu’s kindness for feeding him. He will ask to meet the next day. |
| 2.3 |  Wait for Xiao Shi to come back the next day at Zi Hour. Speak with him, and he will tell you about how he got presents for Shen Yu. |
| 2.4 |  Encourage him and observe their interaction again. There will be three choices for you to choose from regarding the gift. You can choose any of the gifts in any order to listen to Xiao Shi try to impress Shen Yu. After the first choice, you can choose to present another gift or not recommend anything to cut the conversation short. |
| 2.5 |  Ask Xiao Shi why he won't leave. Wait until the Wu hour of the next day for Xiao Shi. |
3. Go to the Xiao Estate
The next day, you will receive a letter. Xiao Shi will ask you to join him at his residence.
4. Deliver the Letter to the Shen Estate
| 4.1 |  Meet Xiao Shi at the Xiao Estate, speak with his parents. They will ask you to deliver a letter to Censor Shen to encourage the marriage between their children. After your drink, Xiao Shi will ask you to find out what Shen Yu likes. |

| 4.2 |  Wait until the Wu hour of the next day and go to the Shen Estate. Present the visiting card to the servant and speak with Censor Shen. |
| 4.3 |  Defeat Censor Shen in a Gift of Gab to convince him of Xiao Shi’s virtues. Use Bluster to overpower him. |
| 4.4 |  After convincing the Censor follow the maiden Wenyue out. She will speak about Shen Yu’s strict schedule. Near the exit, you will be interrupted by another maid. Make your way back to the Xiao Estate. |
5. Tell Xiao Shi About the Shen Family
| 5.1 |  At the Xiao Estate, find Xiao Shi near the entrance, and tell him about the Shen family. He will ask to meet with you near the Shen estate at the Hai Hour at night. |

| 5.2 |  Persuade Xiao Shi, but he will have no guts. Speak with Shen Yu on his behalf. Climb over the fence and knock on the window. |
| 5.3 |  After speaking with Shen Yu, follow Xiao Shi then relay her words to him. |
6. Speak with General Xiao About the Marriage
| 6.1 |  Wait until the Wu hour two days later and read General Xiao’s letter. Make your way to the Xiao estate to speak with him. |

| 6.2 |  General Xiao will tell you that Xiao Shi has been talking about marriage. Take a seat and wait for Xiao Shi, General Xiao will lie and tell him that Censor Shen is looking for another groom for his daughter, causing him to run off. |
| 6.3 |  Wait until the Xu hour and meet Xiao Shi at the Shen Residence. Converse with him to trigger the cut scene. |
| 6.4 |  Follow Xiao Shi and ask what he left unsaid. After he runs off, return to Shen Yu. Leave the estate after speaking with her. |
7. Eavesdrop on Hen Yu's Argument With Her Father
Move the time forward to Chen Hour of the next day. Go to the Shen Estate and eavesdrop at She Yu’s Window. Listen to the argument between Shen Yu and her father. The argument will lead to her engagement breaking off.
8. Follow Xiao Shi to the Shen Estate
Check your mail for a message from the general, then make your way to the Xiao Estate. He is in a panic over the cancellation of the engagement. Follow him to the Shen Estate.
9. Free Shen Yu
| 9.1 |  At the Shen Estate, follow the Xiao Clan. Before you enter the receiving area, Wenyue will call out to you. She will ask for your help to free Shen Yu. |

| 9.2 |  Go inside the room where the clans are arguing. Go behind the window and use Celestial Seize to take the keys to Shen Yu’s room from Shen Sujin. |
| 9.3 |  As you exit Xiao Shi will confess to being the man who gave her the flute. Speak to Wenyue and tell her you got the key. Free Shen Yue and watch her reunite with Xiao Shi. |
10. Visit the Couple
After a time skip, visit the couple to end the quest.
