Hey i pulled albedo and i have cinnabar spindle and also freedom sworn which one is better i want to make albedo a sub dps but also a buffer, which sword should i put on him? Rn i have freedom sworn and all DEF arrifacts on him. Is this fine?
Ah i make some mistake. Cinnabar make your Albedo can use full DEF and Geo stats, with same margin DMG with HoD+DEF/Geo/Crit. But Cinnabar with DEF/Geo/Crit sometimes can surpass HoD (sometimes higher than 1-2% or 10% if you have high invest, sometimes is average). But still, isn't a high loss.. . . But still, if u have Cinnabar but dont have Albedo, just pull him
Cinnabar Spindle has little margin DMG (just 1-2% i guess) with Harbinger imo. Using Cinnabar make your Albedo can use DEF/Geo/DEF. Cinnabar just make your Albedo has flexible artifacts
I don't care about the stars, I have Black Tassel on Zhogli, because this weapon supports his kit. And I know HoD is second choise for him. There are enough guides (ex. this site). What just bothers me is the fact that Mihoyo literally nerfed a 5 star character for all new players and then has the audacity to use the weapon for the trial. If HoD is so good, why didn't they use it insteed and show what new players can really expect. I know i am not alone skipping him because of this.
I really hope that cinnabar spindle will come back, otherwise albedo will be less useful as time goes on bc less ppl will have it.
- Normal Attack scale on ATK (+ DMG Bonus if it got element infusion, or Physical DMG Bonus if it pure Normal DMG) - Skill and Burst scale with ATK + DMG Bonus (it will be different if they have modified scale like DEF or HP scale, but the DMG Bonus is still scale with them) . That's why some weapons with high Base ATK are still useful if your off-field chars has normal scaling on their kits (like Xingqiu or Xiangling that they don't have modified scaling)
He's not effective as a main dps, that's why no one is recommending it... Even then, the 3 star is still amazing as a 4-star main DPS weapon for a LOT of Main dps characters, short of blacksword. Easy rule to remember. CRIT is king for any DPS
im talking about damage done with normal attacks, if u use him as a sub dps you wont need that
Not about off-field actually, off-field char with ATK stats still depends on Base ATK (and ATK%). But for Albedo, he need DEF stats instead of ATK (except you want to exploit his Burst, that's actually not an important kit)
what is the problem with using a three star? I mean, lower base attack maybe? But albedo will mostly be used off field sooooooooooo
Why do you feel the need to use a 4-star? I mean the guide practically sums it up that if you dont have cinnebar, just get the 3-star since its his second best option. Anon 77 summed it up pretty nicely. In fact, EVERY OTHER 4 STAR WEAPON on albedo doesnt even compare to how good Harbinger is.

Wants to use 4-stars sword? Just use Blackcliff Sword or The Black Sword (even just for statstick, but at least you will 'satisfied' because he use 4-stars weapon)
For a new players, just use Harbinger of Dawn. Why this 3-stars sword is good for him, because: 1. Crit DMG mainstats and Crit Rate passive that's suitable for off-field character (Albedo is an off-field character) 2. Low base ATK, but it's for Albedo (Skill scale on DEF) 3. Easy to pull, easy to refine . . Ah yeah, also for someone that got Cinnamon stick but dont have Albedo, just get him (skip for Nilou, wait for her review, and wait for a rerun)
yes, a weapon that no one can get anymore who has not started before the event. Thanks, this is so helpful for new players. For new players a guide based on this weapon is actually quite useless

He DOES have his own weapon! It's the 4* event exclusive Cinnabar Spindle. It's his BiS. 3* Harbinger Of Dawn is NOT a terrible weapon and honestly the 2nd best weapon for him if you don't've CBS.
Damn, is there really no other 4* weapon for him? I don’t feel using a 3* weapon lmao and he doesn’t seem to have his own weapon…
Should I use the sets and weapons that the website shows if I wanted to main dps Albedo? Or should I use other weapons or artifacts?
