I can confirm that. Even the support told me to try it several times. Got it the next attempt.
It's random. Popping all bubbles won't guarantee the chest to appear. The bubbles reappear every day, so it might take a few days to finally get it. The location marked is the most likely one.
Sorry — I didn’t pay attention to what I got out of the aforementioned chest nor did I realize there were two furniture pieces in Apam Woods. The previous comment was for the other piece. It ended up taking me four days/tries later to get the No Fishing Ahead fence to spawn. Assuming it’s completely random, but just in case: it was midday in game and I’d already popped the other bubbles on that lower level of the forest floor surrounding the remarkable chest location before acquiring it.
Like others have mentioned, the chest didn’t appear for me in the location marked in the article either. It did, however, appear elsewhere after I popped what I assume was all the bubbles in Apam Woods! For me, it was north, in the upper levels by the waterfall and bouncy mushrooms, near where the Aranara cooking pot is located. (I would guess that’s only because that was the last bubble I needed to pop.)
why would they do this. i just want to finish the furniture set. do they hate us
It took me about 12 attempts to get the chest from the bubble. I started looking at the time, and received the chest at ~13:00. Don’t know if it’s 100% rng, or time dependent, but try popping the bubble at different times and see what results
