True, but if you got the Wanderer in your account you can farm for the "Flower of Paradise Lost" with 0 guilt
It works, but if you got Baizhu in your account I'd switch Jean for Baizhu, also switch Nahida for Xingqiu (or Yelan) to generate more dendro cores and equip Baizhu with a Favonius to keep the rotations going, Thoma has big energy issues, but can be fixed if someone can proc a favonius in the team. The team allows to burst burgeon reactions with Baizhu tanking and healing the damage. (Binus tips: Thoma's ER should be 170% or higher, give Favonius to Baizhu)

For Burgeon Thoma, the best set option is full set Flowers of Paradise Lost and best weapon option, aside from ER% polearms, is Dragon's bane

I currently run him with any hydro for application, Collei and depending on need Kuki for potential heal and more reactions, Yoi if I go after bosses or Bennett when I want to take him on an adventure. Tbh the last slot I often ignore/use situationally only.
Playing EM Thoma for a while now (basically since his release) and tbh for That his best (or at least best 4* weapon) should be dragon's bane. Especially with Burgeon out now, his energy is even less of a problem, substats and team easily make up for the tiny bit he may lack but it gives much more EM than other options.
