Trailblazer Deck Strengths | |||
---|---|---|---|
• Only two Elements are played, which makes dice rolls a little easier to commit to. • Forces your opponent to change Active Characters. • Wins battles of attrition thanks to the healing Jean and Bennett provide. |
|||
Trailblazer Deck Weaknesses | |||
• No heavy-hitting attacks to quickly eliminate the opponent's biggest threat. • Changing the opponent's Active Character could work in their favor. |
The game plan is to inflict Pyro with Bennett and make use of Jean and Sucrose's elemental skills to force swap the opponent's Active Character and trigger Pyro Swirls that deal chip damage to the enemy's back line.
You can disrupt the opponent's game plan by force-swapping an Active Character who is about to deal huge damage or setting up for a combo. You can also use force swap to bring a weaker unit in front and finish it off. Be careful when using force swap as it can backfire and be beneficial for your opponent.
This deck also can outlast your opponent because you have two healing Elemental Bursts from Bennett and Jean.
Combo Card 1 | Combo Card 2 | Result |
---|---|---|
Bennett | Leave it to Me! | - Leave It to Me! allows you to swap to one of your Anemo characters to trigger Pyro Swirl after Bennett inflicts Pyro status on the opponent's Active Character. - Make sure you have Anemo energy before committing to this combo. |
Bennett | When the Crane Returned | - When The Crane Returned swaps out Bennett to your next character, setting you up for a Pyro Swirl elemental reaction. - Make sure to have the required Anemo energy before committing to this combo. |
Jean | Lands of Dandelion | - Lands of Dandelion enhances Jean's Elemental Burst Dandelion Breeze, making your Pyro Swirl elemental reactions more potent. |
Marjorie | Wagner | Patton |
As the primary strength of this Deck lies in disruption for the opponent, Marjorie, Wagner, and Patton are currently the best opponents to face in their respective Adventure Challenges. This is also a good way to be familiar with the Deck's playstyle, and see if any personal tweaks can be made to the player's liking.
The Trailblazer Deck is effective against decks that build up a specific Active Character to deal huge damage and decks that need to execute a particular combo.
Jean and Sucrose's elemental skill force swap the opponent's Active Character. They will have to spend cards or energy to bring back their Active Character, potentially disabling their attack or interrupting their combo.
Mona | Noelle |
Mona and Noelle have abilities that reduce damage. Mona's Reflection summon is a cost-effective counter and changing the opposing Active Character could give your opponent the chance to execute their combo.
Diluc | Chongyun |
Diluc and Chongyun are bad matchups because their elemental bursts can potentially one-shot your characters with the right set-up.
Your best bet is to force-swap them out before they can land their elemental burst using Jean or Sucrose's elemental skill.
You can also try to keep your characters healthy by using Bennett or Jean's elemental bursts to avoid getting one-shot.
