    I got confused because they randomly added the orb and flower part in the middle when it's actually at the end, and the latern thing didn't work for me 2 times, then when I decided to just hit random lanterns it worked.

    For the "children are hidden" part you don't have to hit the middle one at all. Cause the lantern will need to be in its starting position to unlock it.
