General Strategy

Place a Unit in Every Path

Genshin - Defense Scenario 2 Spread Out

Stage 2 features plenty of Single-Target utility and units for the player to use, but that also means that they do not have any wave-clearing potential, so making sure that both paths are covered becomes extremely important.

You may also use your Leadership Skill to swiftly kill off a high-priority target so your units can place their attention elsewhere.

Make Sure Each Side has a Turret and Mine

Genshin - Defense Scenario 2 Turrets and Mines

The Stronghold Mechanism: Hydro turrets are able to deal substantial damage to your opponents, so make sure that each side has one in order to ensure that there is a steady stream of damage.

You also have access to two mines that either bind opponents in place, or deals large damage to them. Both are useful so place them along the entrance to ensure that you have a safety net.

Unlike the previous challenge, your units are mostly Single-Target type units, and are likely to be countered rather than be the ones countering opponents.

To remedy this, pay attention to the time it takes for your units to kill opponents, and use your Leadership Skill to assist them if it seems to be taking too long.

The playable stage consists of a circle where the player's base is, and is connected to two paths on the center and to the right of the base.

These paths are the Center path and the Right Flank path, and enemies will generally walk down these pathways towards your base.
