How to Defeat Mallet the Smasher

How to Clear Fanatic Passion and Honed Will Difficulties

Hold the Forward Button to Attack

Hold the forward button to expend stamina and deal damage to Mallet the Smasher. Keep in mind that simply tapping the forward button will not cause any damage to the opponent.

Time your Piercing Strike

You need to reach the exact position of Mallet the Smasher to perform the Piercing Strike. So, while holding the forward button, make sure to gauge his position and not over-charge it to trigger the Piercing Attack.

You may be caught inside Mallet the Smasher's attack range while charging, so it is best to use the Piercing Strike after his Consecutive attack. If this happens, press space to cancel.

Move Backwards to Dodge

Use the back button to dodge Mallet the Smasher Consecutive Attacks. During this stage, the opponent can deal a lot of damage, so use the back button to keep a safe distance.

Keep an eye on the bright red marking on the floor during the enemy's attack because it will indicate the enemy's attack range.

Dodge the Lightning Strike

If you move too far away, Mallet the Smasher may use a Lightning Strike. Keep an eye out for purple markings on the floor indicating the Lightning Strike. Dodge them using the back or forward buttons.

Dodge the Enemy's Attack

Make sure to dodge all of Mallet the Smasher's attacks. Keep an eye on the markings on the floor as this will indicate when they will unleash an attack.

To avoid triggering the lightning, keep at least 2 tiles away from Mallet the Smasher.
