Akitsu Yuugei is the minigame you can play within the Akitsu Kimodameshi Event where you use a bar to launch a skill-ball toward the bricks to destroy it!
During the Akitsu Kimodameshi Act 1 Event Quest, Raiden said that it looks to have originated from Akitsu Hazuram a game that was played long ago that involved using a hagoita to hit a ball toward a set target.

Leisurely Pastime | Shatterdark |
There are two types of Akitsu Yuugei gameplay, the Leisurely Pastime and Shatterdark. The Leisurely Pastime can be played in Co-Op Mode and there are two modes within it, the Playful Leisure and the Unending Refinement!
Shatterdark has three stages and each has a boss among the sea of bricks you need to destroy.
You can start both the Leisurely Pastime and Shatterdark by heading east of Chinju Forest and using the event icons to teleport toward the event domains! Note that this can only be done after completing the Akitsu Kimodameshi Act 1 Event Quest!
As you progress through the event, you will unlock modifiers that can buff your character or bar or elevate the mechanics of the game! Other than that you can add characters that correspond to the element you need according to the brick type of the challenge!
In some challenges, there are certain characters under a certain element you can't use, so you'd need to make do with the characters that you do have!
Once you're in the arena, use the button that replaced your attack button to launch a skill-ball towards the bricks, once it bounces back towards you catch it with the bar once again to bounce it back towards the bricks!
The bouncing bar will adapt to the element the character who is controlling it has but it can only apply Pyro, Hydro, and Cryo to the bar and inflict that same element on the skill-ball!
When are only a few bricks in the arena, a flurry of fireworks will appear to demolish any more bricks that it hits!
To score 4,500 or higher, hit the bricks consecutively to get a combo count. This Combo count resets once you lose the final skill-ball you have on the field.
Reaction | Elemental Reaction Effect |
---|---|
x Detonatorball |
After a Skill-Ball triggers an Overloaded reaction with the bar, it will gain the Detonate effect: Upon hitting a brick, a blast that deals AoE DMG to surrounding bricks will occur. |
x Surgeball |
After a Skill-Ball triggers an Electro-Charged reaction with the bar, it will gain the Surge effect: Upon hitting a brick, lightning will be unleashed, applying Electro to all bricks in a fixed AoE. |
x Freezeball |
After a Skill-Ball triggers a Frozen reaction with the bar, it will temporarily halt in place on the bar, though the bar will still be able to move. After the Frozen duration elapses, the Skill-Ball will automatically shoot forward. Alternatively, it can also be preemptively propelled by active choice. |
Element | Elemental Reaction Effect |

Akitsu Yuugei: Detonate After a Skill-Ball hits a brick and causes an Overloaded reaction, the Detonate effect will be triggered, unleashing a blast that deals AoE DMG to surrounding bricks. |

Should the Skill-Ball strike a frozen brick again, it will immediately shatter that brick along with all other frozen bricks connected to it. |
x |
Akitsu Yuugei: Surge After a Skill-Ball hits a brick and causes an Electro-Charged reaction, the Surge effect will be triggered, unleashing lightning from the struck brick's position that randomly deals DMG within a fixed AoE to surrounding bricks. |
