How to Start Realms of Guile and War

The Realms of Guile and War is a domain challenge sub-event within the Perilous Trail. The four domains have different deployment rules, and the fourth domain has a different combat round requirement than the first three.

Enter by Interacting the Wooden Board!

To enter the Realms of Guile and War, you need to interact with the mysterious wooden board inside The Chasm. This will then allow you to see the domains you can complete.

Adjust the Difficulty of the Domains

The difficulty of the domains can be adjusted before entering the domains themselves. It's best to set it to the highest difficulty to get the rewards for that difficulty and for the lower ones as well!

Realms of Guile and War Combat Round Rules

During the event, you'll come across keywords such as combat rounds and challenges. One combat round is equal to three challenges inside a domain.

After each combat round ends, progress is saved automatically. If you fail or leave mid-battle, you will begin at the first challenge of the latest combat round.

Three Combat Rounds for Three Domains

For the first three domains, you need to complete three combat rounds. In total, you need to complete nine challenges for one domain!

Six Combat Rounds for the Fourth Domain

For the fourth domain, instead of three rounds, you can complete up to six combat rounds. Which means, you can complete eighteen challenges for this domain!

How to Prepare Teams for Realms of Guile and War

Each Realm or Domain will have trial characters you can use to aid in the challenge. The team can be made entirely with the trial characters or mixed with your own characters. Afterwards, you need to add Stratagems which can buff your characters inside the domain!

Choose the Right Stratagems

Stratagems are buff cards like the Charms in the Labyrinth Warriors Event. Travelers can equip up to three Stratagems to match your party's skills or the domain's rules!

Five Stratagems Drawn at Random

After a combat round ends, five stratagem will be drawn and random, and you can choose to equip it or use Stratagem Shards to redraw a new set of Stratagems. You can also use it to reuse a Stratagem previously equipped or revive a fallen character!

Realms of Guile and War Deployment Rules

The four domains will have a rest or recuperate system like the A Study in Potions Event, where you will create two or more teams to finish a round of challenges and once one challenge ends, the party will rest, and you will need to use another party to move on.

Deployment Rules in Realms of Guile and War

	Perilous Trail Deployment Rules
1	Direcliff Court Domain Only one member of the party can be selected to continue on, while the rest will enter recuperation mode.
2	Kaleidoscope Cage Domain Two party members will be selected at random and will enter recuperation mode!
3	Insurgent Twilight Domain All party members will enter recuperation mode for one round.
4	Utmost Deception Domain Only one member of the current party can be selected to continue on, while everyone else will enter recuperation mode for 2 rounds,within which they cannot be deployed into battle.

Realms of Guile and War Enemies

Type	Emplacement Information
Battle Emplacement	A normal battle challenge against enemies.
Nemesis Emplacement	Gives a choice for the combat difficulty to either “Normal” or “Hard”. In Hard, you will have an objective to fufill. Winning the Normal Difficulty will give 50 Stratagem Shards, while the Hard Difficulty gives 200.
Boss Emplacement	Battle against a Field Boss enemy.
Preparatory Emplacement	Appears at the end and opens a screen to edit the stratagems and party for the next combat round.

The enemies that appear in Realms of Guile and war are random, so you might have to change your party members every now and then.

Repeat challenge rounds with new setups

Each time you enter the domain to try the same stage again, the enemies will be different, and it's unique to the world of the player. Which will prompt you to create new teams with stratagems you also get randomly.

All Stratagems in Perilous Trail

Stratagem	Effects
Perpetual Valor	The active character's Charged Attack no longer consumes stamina and its DMG will be increased by 40%. Character resistance to interruption is greatly increased while performing a Charged Attack.
Assurance	The active character's ATK SPD will be increased by 30%. When hitting opponents, their Normal Attack will restore HP to them, the amount of which is equal to 5% of their Max HP. This effect can be triggered once per 3s.
Galeforce	Greatly enhances the characters' jumping ability. Characters' Plunging Attacks generate a Cyclone at your position upon hitting opponents, attracting ones that are nearby. This effect can be triggered once every 2s.
The Golden Ploy	Characters' Geo constructs intermittently unleash shockwaves that deal True Geo DMG to nearby opponents. This effect can be triggered once every 3s.
Tactical Deployment	After entering combat, non-active party members will regenerate 3 Elemental Energy per second.
Leading From the Front	CRIT Rate will be increased by 30% when the active character deals DMG to opponents while having 100% Elemental Energy.
Set Arrangements	The CD for switching characters is extended to 6s. When a character takes the stage, their Normal Attack 'Speed and Movement SPD will be increased by 15%, HP recovered by 15%, and Elemental Energy recovered to 100%. Their interruption resistance will be greatly enhanced.
Abundant Regeneration	When an active character is recovering HP, there will be a lingering wave lasting for 4s that records the HP recovered for alt party members (including overflow healing). The lingering wave will be followed by a shockwave which deals 60% of the accumulated healing as DMG to surrounding opponents. There will be up to one lingering wave in every 4s, which is capable of recording up to 80000 recovery (including overflow recovery).
Inexorable Force	All party members' Normal Attack and Charged Attack gain a 50% All Elemental DMG Bonus.
Immaculate	When the party members are using 3 or more different types of weapons, all party members' ATK will be increased by 60%.
Unity	After a character uses their Elemental Burst, all party members' Elemental Burst DMG will be increased by 50% for 6s.
Transfixing Strike	After the active character's Charged Attacks hit an opponent, their Charged Attack DMG will be increased by 20%. This effect can be triggered once in every 0.1s, lasts for 8s. and stacks up to 3 times. The duration will be refreshed every time it is triggered.
Assault Fanfare	When a character with HP higher than 70% is recovering HP, their ATK will be increased by 80% for 5s.
Swagger	When on the field, the character's ATK DMG will be increased by 25% every 3s. This effect can stack up to 3 times.
Tidal Might	After the active character's Plunging Attack hits opponents, their Plunging Attack DMG will be increased by 20%. This effect lasts for 8s, stacks up to 3 times, and can be triggered once every 0.1s.
Scattering Light	When the active character's Plunging Attack deals DMG to opponents, 3 Elemental Energy and 3% of their Max HP will be restored to them. This effect can be triggered every 1.5s.
Shield Counter	Character Shield Strength will be increased by 40%. A backlash will occur when opponents hit a character protected by a shield, dealing AoE DMG to nearby opponents. This effect can be triggered once every 5s.
Thunderstruck	After the active character's Normal Attack hits an opponent, their Normal Attack DMG will be increased by 15%. This effect can be triggered once every 0.1s, lasts for 5s, and stacks up to 4 times. Each stack's duration is independent.
Swift Lethality	Party members' Electro and Hydro DMG will be increased by 20% for every Electro or Hydro character in the party.
Fortbreaker	When the active character obtains Crystallize shards, their DMG will be increased by 50% for 6s.
Surpassing Form	After a character's Elemental Skill hits an opponent, their Elemental Skill DMG will be increased by 50% for 6s.
Ingenious Adaptation	When recovering HP. a character's Max HP will be increased by 60% for 6s.
Dire Resolve	After entering battle, the active character's CRIT DMG will be increased by 80% when they deal DMG. They will also constantly lose HP based on 3% of their Max HP every second.
Untamed Wind	When a character triggers a Swirl Reaction, all party members gain a 80% Anemo DMG Bonus for 8s.
Superlative	Increases all party members' Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst Level by 1. The maximum upgrade level is 15.
Stunning	After the active character's Normal Attack hits an opponent for 3 times, they will unleash a shockwave at the opponent's position that deals AoE DMG. This effect can be triggered once every 2s.

Get Stratagems at Random

You get to choose Stratagems at the start before you enter the domain and at the end of each combat round! After a round, you can choose three out of five Stratagems to equip in the next round.
