How to use Windward Arts

What are Windward Arts?

Windtrace Event Skills

Windward Arts will replace your usual Combat Talents during a Windtrace match. You will only be able to equip one Windward Art per Combat Talent, meaning you can only have 3 Windward Arts equipped at a time.

Players will be able to select which Windward Arts they want to use before the match starts, and the available Windward Arts depend on whether a player is a Hunter or a Rebel.

How to Activate your "Secret Favor''

The image above shows a Favor dropped during a match.

The ''Secret Favor'' Windward Art that replaces the Elemental Burst can only be activated by collecting a Favor during a match.

You will be notified when a Favor is dropped into the event area and when someone collects it.

List of All Hunter Windward Arts

Skill	Skill Description
Sensor Aura	Scout a fixed area around yourself. You will be notified if the area contains a Rebel. If a scouted Rebel moves, sprints, jumps or glides within the next 5 seconds, a marking pillar of light will be left at their current position. The skill has a 4s CD and can be used 3 times.
Mysterious Hunch	Briefly show all the directions in which Rebels are located. 40s CD.
Shadecatcher Beacon	Places a Shadecatcer Beacon on the ground that lasts for 30s. It will activate when a Rebel steps into its effect radius and give the Hunter an alert. The Rebel who activates this Beacon cannot Disguise for a while. Up to two Shadecatcher Beacons can exist simultaneously. This skill has a 30s CD.
Capture!	Dispel the disguise of a nearby Rebel and capture them.
Imprisoning Curse	Randomly dispels the disguise of one Rebel and restrains them for 40s. During this time, the target will be unable to leave the restraining area. The Rebels will be warned of this action.
Insight	Dispels the disguises of all Rebels and briefly marks their location on the minimap while showing the position of nearby Rebels on the scene with a pillar of light. This effect lasts for 20s, and during this time, the Rebels will be unable to disguise themselves. The Rebels will be warned of this action.
Unseen Pursuit	Causes one's position to disappear from all Rebels' minimaps and marks out the location of the closest free Rebel. The "Unseen Pursuit" effect lasts for 30s, and while this ability is active, the Hunter gains a Movement SPD boost, and the CD of "Capture!" is greatly decreased.

Skill	Skill Description
Concealing Beacon	Place a Concealing Beacon. While close to this Beacon, the Rebels will be invisible and cannot be discovered by the Hunter until the Beacon is destroyed or until the Rebel gets close enough to a Signaling Device to repair it. If a Hunter uses Capture on the Concealing Beacon, their vision will be obscured for a short time. 45s CD.
Transparency	Enter hidden mode for 5s. During this time, you cannot be discovered by the Hunter. Entering this mode will dispel your current disguise. The Hunter's Windward Arts ''Capture!,'' Mysterious Hunch,'' and ''Sensor Aura'' will all still take effect against a hidden Rebel. When a Rebel gets close enough to a Signaling Device to repair it, their hidden state will lose effect. 30s CD.
Disguise	Click: Randomly be disguised as one of the specialized objects in the area. Hold: Removes the disguise The disguise will be removed when you glide or swim.
Starstep	Movement SPD is greatly increased for the next 30s.

Shadecatcher Beacon	• Great for keeping track of areas in between the Signaling Devices.
Capture!	You can’t change this out for other skills.
Unseen Pursuit	• Gives your Hunter greater Movement SPD and lowers the Capture cooldown. • Conceals your own position and catch Rebels off guard.

Lay Bait Used as a Normal Attack for active Rebels.	⯈	Illusory Beacon Can only be used in Observer Mode once a Rebel is captured.

In Version 3.3, the Windtrace event rerun included updates to the Windward Arts used by Rebels and Hunters.

The Rebels and Hunters get one new Windward Art each, while the Lay Bait Skill is replaced with the Illusory Beacon Skill that can only be used by Rebels after they had been caught.

Capture!	Dispel the guise of a nearby Rebel and capture them.
Imprisoning Curse	Randomly dispels the disguise of one Rebel and restrains them for a time. During this time, the target will be unable to leave the restraining area. The Rebels will be warned of this action.
Insight	Dispels the disguises of all Rebels and briefly marks their location on the minimap while showing the position of nearby Rebels on the scene with a pillar of light. During this time, the Rebels will be unable to disguise themselves. They will also be warned of this action.
Hunter's Intuition	Randomly dispels the disguise of one Rebel and marks their location on the minimap for a long period of time. If the target is nearby, their location will be marked by a pillar of light. The target cannot disguise themselves for the duration of this effect. The Rebels will also be warned of this action.
Hunter's Net	After holding, throw out a net. This net can dispel disguises used by Rebels in a specific AoE and destroys all Beacons in this area. At this time, the Hunter's vision will not be obstructed. If there is a Rebel within the net's AoE, the Hunter will receive a hint.

Concealing Beacon	Place a Concealing Beacon for a set duration. While near this Beacon, the Rebels will be invisible and cannot be discovered by the Hunter until the Beacon is destroyed. If a Hunter uses Capture on the Concealing Beacon, their vision will be obscured for a short time.
Illusory Beacon	Place a suitable piece of bait in the area ahead to confuse the Hunter. If the Hunter attempts to capture the Bait, their vision will be obscured for a short time. Can only be used in Observer Mode once a Rebel is captured.
