Bamboocut - Dust Build is a highly mobile, high-damage build with strong AoE potential. It excels at weaving in and out of combat, setting up mid-range pressure before diving in for burst windows.
With strong skill synergy and frequent procs, it maintains consistent damage while punishing grouped enemies through layered AoE effects. When played correctly, it rewards clean rotations, spacing awareness, and precise timing.

Your chosen Martial Arts are the Unfettered Rope Dart and the Everspring Umbrella. Both specialize in explosive burst windows, and the core idea of the build is rotating those bursts efficiently. That said, each weapon is fully capable on its own and does not rely entirely on the other to function.
They also bring excellent AoE coverage from different ranges. The Umbrella controls space and pressures from mid to long range, while the Rope Dart dominates in close quarters with aggressive melee bursts. Both kits provide access to Tenacity, giving you multiple ways to avoid being staggered.

|---|---|
Morale Chant |
100% chance to gain one stack of Yi River when attacking or healing: Increases Physical Penetration by 2 and damage and healing by 1% for 12 seconds, stacking up to 5 times. The chance to gain Yi River is only calculated once every 2 seconds. |
Phantom Rally |
The first umbrella thrown by Scarlet Spin summons a Phantom Umbrella, and every 3rd throw afterward will summon another. During a Perfect Catch and when summoning a Phantom Umbrella, all Phantom Umbrellas on the battlefield will resonate, dealing area damage. |
Towline Sweep |
Gain 50 Tokens of Gratitude after casting Soul Sweep. In Soulbound state, each hit of Piercing Dart's sweeping combo applies 2 stacks of Soulbreak, and the first hit pulls enemies forward. |
Song of Tang |
Dealing damage to an enemy with a Martial Art Skill grants you a stack of Song of Tang, lasting 7 seconds. Each stack of Song of Tang increases Critical Damage dealt by your Martial Art Skills by 3% and grants your Martial Art Skills 3% HP Drain with a maximum drain rate of 2.5% of your Max HP per second. Song of Tang can stack up to 5 times, and up to 2 stacks can be gained per second. |
Morale Chant is always great because it gives a consistent, multiplicative damage boost that benefits all aspects of the rotation. Phantom Rally enhances the Umbrella’s natural rotation while boosting your overall physical burst. At higher tiers, Scarlet Spin constantly summons Phantom Umbrellas, and each summon triggers resonance for consistent AoE damage. Resonance also applies Phantom Chime, reducing enemies’ Physical Resistance and directly increasing the damage of both your Umbrella and Rope Dart bursts.
Towline Sweep makes Rope Dart's burst window much more rewarding and easier to maintain. It extends Soulbreak and Soul Return uptime, boosts Piercing Dart combo damage, improves Soulbreak and Soul Drain payoff, and at higher tiers, makes Burn and Bury hit harder with guaranteed crit, giving the build more reliable burst damage and smoother rotations between Rope Dart and Umbrella.
Song of Tang rewards constant Martial Art Skill usage, increasing Crit Damage and adding HP drain for sustain. Since both Umbrella and Rope Dart hit frequently and in AoE, you can stack and maintain it easily, boosting your burst while staying healthier in fights.

|---|---|
Vital Leech |
Casting Exhaustion Execution Skill restores HP equal to 8% of the damage dealt. |
In PvP, consider switching Song of Tang for Vital Leech, since you won't have many chances to use Unfettered Rope Dart’s charged skill to heal. Vital Leech gives you a steadier way to recover health, and the extra execution damage is a nice bonus when finishing targets.

Flute of the Tides |
Unleash a starfall of notes to create an area impact dealing 173.33% Physical Attack + 51 Physical Damage + Other Attribute Damage. The flute follows you for 12.5s, releasing up to 5 sequences of sound ripples. Each sequence unleashes 5 melodic strikes upon 5 distinct targets, with each strike dealing 65.00% Physical Attack + 19 Physical Damage + Other Attribute Damage to enemies in a small area. |
Dragon's Breath |
Drink to enter Intoxicated. Breath fire with Qi, dealing damage over 2 hits plus Ignition. Gain 15% Damage Reduction and Fortitude. Intoxicated: Lasts 30s. Dragon's Breath and Drunken Poet can be used without drinking. Ignition: Target takes damage every 0.5s for 8s. |
Drunken Poet |
Drink deeply to enter the Intoxicated state, imitating the drunken grace of the Poet Immortal. Cast repeatedly for up to 5 strikes, each consuming 6 Vitality. Intoxicated: Lasts 30s. Dragon's Breath and Drunken Poet can be used without drinking. |
Cloud Steps |
Stomp on an enemy's shoulder to deal Physical Damage, other Attribute Damage effective against Cavalry and other units with Unstable Poise. |
Flute of the Tides is excellent for AoE damage. It creates repeated waves of melodic strikes that hit multiple enemies over time while following you, allowing you to deal consistent area damage during your rotation. This makes it especially effective for clearing groups and maintaining pressure in crowded fights.
Dragon’s Breath applies Burn, letting you steadily chip away at enemies. Casting Drunken Poet immediately after converts that Burn into a burst of damage, creating a fast flurry of hits when you dive in. Cloud Steps acts as an excellent engage, chase, and reset tool, helping you stick to targets that try to disengage and keeping your pressure consistent.
| Stat Group | Recommended Substats |
|---|---|
Wolflike Frenzy |
Knock down an enemy, followed with rapid strikes, and finish with an upward swing that disables the target. Effective against Cavalry and other units with Unstable Poise. Unstable Poise: These units have a Stance bar near their HP. Stance-break deals special hit and Physical damage. |
Serene Breeze |
Channel Qi into your body to clear blockages in the veins. Can be used while under attack or control effects. On hit, reduces the target's Endurance recovery by 50% and deals damage for 8s. |
Meridian Touch |
Chance to immobilize, deal Physical damage, and break Vital Points. Immobilize is ineffective against mighty enemies. Vital Points: These enemies have bound Qi bars. Breaking their Vital Points disables Qi regen, deals extra Physical damage and Qi Damage. |
Soaring Spin |
Channel your Qi into a roaring thrust, dealing damage to units along the path. Then suddenly shift stance into a spiraling follow-up strike that catches enemies off-guard. Hitting a target reduces their Healing Received by 60% over 5s. |
In PvP, Serene Breeze is essential. It's your personal “nope” button, letting you slip out of enemy pressure and control effects so you can reset the fight and turn the momentum back in your favor.
Wolflike Frenzy brings heavy burst backed by Super Armor, giving you the green light to dive in without getting stuffed mid-commit. Pair it with Meridian Touch to choke their Qi recovery and keep the pressure firmly in your hands.
Finally, Soaring Spin serves as another gap-closer and applies a healing reduction in PvP, making it harder for enemies to recover if they rely on heals.

2 Set Effect: +47 Min Physical Attack
4 Set Effect: When hitting at least 2 enemies simultaneously, or hitting a boss or player, you gain 1 stack of Stars Align. For 5 seconds, Martial Art Skills deal 3% increased damage and further bonus damage to enemies more than 4 meters away; the bonus increases with distance, up to 1% at 8 meters. Stars Align stacks up to 5 times, and 1 stack is removed each time you take damage. Up to 2 stacks of Stars Align can be gained per second. |
CalmwatersArmor |
2 Set Effect: +24 Physical Defense
4 Set Effect: A Perfect Dodge of an enemy attack has a 50% chance of restoring 3% of your Max HP and 10 Endurance. |
Stars Align is good here because your Umbrella and Rope Dart both land frequent multi-hits, so you stack it fast and keep high uptime. It also works on bosses and players, and the bonus damage at range naturally fits your Umbrella poke before you swap in for Rope Dart burst.
Calm Waters is good because this build if you're very confident with Perfect Dodges. The 4-piece can refund HP and Endurance, helping you stay alive and keep your mobility/rotation going.
As an alternative, you can use Agile Steps, if you're more comfortable with parrying.
Either way, this build works for both PvE and PvP.

2 Set Effect: +1780 Max HP
4 Set Effect: Upon a successful deflection, reduces all damage taken within 2 seconds by 20%, stacking up to 3 times. |
In PvP, if you are not confident in your dodging but trust your parries more, consider using Agile Steps Set.
Jade Embrace Set is another option if you lean heavily on mobility.
| 1st | Agility |
| 2nd | Min Physical Attack |
| 3rd | Min Bamboocut Attack |
| 4th | Critical Rate |
| 5th | Max Bamboocut Attack |
These stats are prioritized to directly strengthen the build’s burst damage, scaling, and consistency. Agility boosts both Critical Rate and Physical scaling, while Min Physical Attack and Bamboocut Attack increase the base damage of both Umbrella and Rope Dart skills. Critical Rate further enhances burst reliability, ensuring your rotations hit harder and more consistently.

Whenever Scarlet Spin lights up, it signals that you can perform a Perfect Catch on the returning umbrella. Timing this correctly enhances your next Returning Umbrella and triggers Phantom Umbrella resonance with the Phantom Rally Inner Way, adding extra AoE damage. Consistently landing Perfect Catch not only increases your burst potential but also maximizes your overall damage uptime during Flower Burial.
You can also rely on the sound cues to help with the timing. Some players might find it easier to treat it like a rhythm, following the throw and return cadence rather than only watching the icon.
When you have downtime and cannot safely continue your rotation, you can enter Charging Stance to recover resources. Holding the stance longer grants additional effects, allowing you to slowly restore HP or Qi, which helps you stabilize and prepare for the next burst window.
Flute of the Tides is fantastic for wiping out groups of enemies. Once activated, it follows you and releases waves of melodic strikes that hit multiple targets, letting you deal steady AoE damage while continuing your rotation. It turns chaotic mob fights into a symphony of destruction as enemies get swept away by the music.
Flute of the Tides Mystic Skill Effect and How to Unlock
This build revolves around managing distance and choosing the right moment to engage. Both weapons offer strong range, Tenacity, and pressure, allowing you to control the pace of the fight and punish openings with powerful burst damage.
