How to Unlock Give Her Surprises
Complete the Prerequisites

Prologue: Act 3 Song of the Dragon and Freedom |
You can unlock Give Her Surprises quest by completing the Song of the Dragon and Freedom quest first. After which, the quest should automatically appear on your Quest Journal, along with the other minigame event quests after completing the first objective of this quest.
Give Her Surprises Walkthrough
Go to Port Ormos
Immediately after unlocking the quest, go to Port Ormos where you'll see Candace, Dehya, Tighnari, and Collei talking to one another about holding a surprise birthday celebration for the Dendro Archon herself.
Go shopping with Candace
After talking to the group and delegating tasks, go shopping with Candace all around Port Ormos. Drop by Jahangir's shop first and let Candace do the haggling and ordering. Simply go through the cutscene to progress this step.
Keep shopping
Once you've placed the order at Jahangir's shop, keep shopping by walking towards the marked spot on your map, located just a couple of steps ahead. Candace will get another bout of headache, which she later surmised to be caused by a rare gem she bought that morning.
Look for Dori
To know more about the gem, look for Dori, who's fortunately just in Port Ormos too, specifically on the eastern part of the Port. Candace then haggles with the Lord Sangemah Bay for intel on the source of the rare gem.
