We first met an inanimate version of Wolfy as soon as we enter the Theater Lobby during the Unbegun, Unending Story quest. After doing a single performance in the Imaginarium Theater, Wolfy wakes up, telling us stories about him!
Wolfy was originally a wolf cub cursed with a frozen heart, which could mean two things: Wolfy is the wolf cub depicted in The Boar Princess, or he was made in the likeness of the wolf. Either way, Wolfy mentions a Madame Mage who appointed him as the concierge of Theater Lobby while in a forked road.
There are plenty of reasons to believe that Madame Mage was Nicole, especially with the forked road theme, and being lost, however Wolfy mentioned a story about a boar who later on became mute and telepathic, which is likely Nicole herself. This rules out Nicole from the prospective candidates of Madame Mage's identity.
