Frozen Deck Strengths | |||
---|---|---|---|
• Only two Elements played, which makes dice rolls a little easier to commit to. • Constant Frozen Elemental Reaction, stopping the opponent from moving their characters during their turn. • Mona is elusive, yet she constantly protects both active and standby characters thanks to her Elemental Skill having damage reduction. |
|||
Frozen Deck Weaknesses | |||
• Might take a while to build when starting out in Genius Invokation TCG, as the three Character Cards are all obtaniable through invitation. • No shields nor heals in this Deck list; it is a Deck that relies on stopping the opponent's Character Cards through Freeze. • Pyro or Physical attacks break the Freeze Elemental Reaction, so players going super aggressive might forget the Deck's strength is stopping power. |
In terms of a usual team composition, Mona and Ganyu serve as fellow sub-DPS's, while Kamisato Ayaka serves as the main damage dealer, and the reason the Freeze loop can work. The idea is to keep switching the Active Character between Mona and any of the two Cryo Characters and use either their Skill or Burst to apply their respective Elements.
Ayaka in particular gets a Cryo-infused Normal Attack when she gets to be switched in as the Active Character, not needing to use her other two attacks just yet to apply Cryo.
Their playstyle is also reflected with their Action Cards, all supporting either Energy Recharge, card advantage, resource management, or the ability to switch Active Characters.
Combo Card 1 | Combo Card 2 | Result |
---|---|---|
Mona | When the Crane Returned | - When the Crane Returned lets Mona switch out as the Active Character; swapping in Kamisato Ayaka lets her use her Kamisato Art: Senho Passive for easy Cryo application. |
Mona | Quick Knit | - Mona's Mirror Reflection of Doom creates a Reflection Summon after use, which only lasts for 1 Round. Quick Knit lets the summon last for one round longer. |
Ganyu | The Bestest Travel Companion! | - Ganyu has one of the highest-costing Elemental Skills in Genius Invokation in Frostflake Arrow; The Bestest Travel Companion! can help reach the 5 Cryo Elemental Dice needed to use it. |
Marjorie | Wagner | Patton |
As the primary strength of this Deck lies in disruption for the opponent, Marjorie, Wagner and Patton are currently the best opponents to face against in their respective Adventure Challenges. This is also a good way to be familiar with the Deck's playstyle, and see if any personal tweaks can be made to the player's liking.
Collei | Barbara |
Going up against Collei in a Friendly Fracas can be a surprisngly challenging opponent, especially as her Burning and Bloom Elemental Reactions can get out of control really fast. Stopping her from using her Dendro attacks via your own Freeze Elemental Reaction will make sure she cannot respond.
Barbara herself just so happens to be a weakspot that can be targeted by Cryo Character Cards. Her Let The Show Begin Elemental Skill applies Hydro to herself and to her standby characters. At that point, there is no need for Mona's attacks; Ganyu and Kamisato Ayaka can exploit this side effect to their advantage.
The Frozen Deck counters action and long-term aggression. The constant application of the Freeze Elemental Reaction can immobilize the opponent's Character Cards in a form of stun-lock, should the player be able to constantly apply it in multiple, consecutive rounds.
Noelle | Ningguang |
Stalling out the opponent can help out with the Frozen Deck's ability to constantly Freeze and deal damage. Mona herself has damage reduction built into her Elemental Skill. Meanwhile, the Geo characters Ningguang and Noelle are great choices to stay alive by making defense the best offense.
Diluc | Chongyun |
The best way to deal with this Deck's pesky playstyle is to defeat the Character Cards as soon as possible. Diluc and Chongyun are Character Cards that have two of the hardest-hitting Elemental Bursts, dealing damage 8 and 7 DMG of their respective elements. With certain Elemental Reactions, they can end up instantly killing a Character Card.

why use sac sword and ayaka burst card when it would probably be better to use sac bow and the frostflake card?
