The Howling Sand Outpost can be found just north of the Howling Sand boundary stone.

How to Clear Howling Sand Outpost
| Step | Instruction |
|---|---|
| 1 |  As soon as you enter the outpost, interact with the flag near the entrance to summon the Tang Troops. These are soldier spirits that will fight alongside you, making it easier for you to clear out the outpost. |
| 2 |  Take out the enemies outside the tower wihin the outpost first since most of them are there. You can get about 20 or so enemies. You can lure groups of Utuk Raptors towards the explosive barrels within the outpost then shoot it with a flaming arrow to deal damage to multiple enemies at once. |
| 3 |  Go inside the tower and clear out the enemies there. There should be at least one per floor. This should leave with a few enemies left. |
| 4 |  Once you're on the top floor of the tower overlooking the outpost, check the sky for enemies flying around and rooftops. Eliminate the remaining Utuk Raptors. |
| 5 |  After eliminating the 30 Utuk Raptors within the outpost, you now have to defeat the leader, the Utuk Vanguard. Defeating the leader is straightfoward, parry its attacks to deplete its stamina then go in for the execute. |

The items in the table above are the rewards obtained when farming the Outpost and opening the chest at the end using Energy, which will be available after clearing it for the first time.
