If you have yet to reach the level cap, the best method to earn Coins is by participating in the Taiping Mausoleum. Complete Foundation and Divine Challenges to earn coins. The higher objective ratings you obtain for each level, the higher the rewards.

Another method of earning money is by Warm Money Bags from NPCs. You can use your Wind Sense to lock in on the bag of an NPC, then ask for it nicely or steal it by force. If you have the Celestial Seize skill, you can snatch this from afar and evade suspicion.
Take note that if you were caught stealing from the NPCs, they will likely alert the authorities and issue an arrest warrant against you.

To Heal or Not to Heal is an Exploration side quest that requires you to heal a diseased goose by a river near Heaven's Pier in Qinghe. This quest resets daily at 5 AM and rewards players with 5000 Coins upon completion.
To Heal or Not to Heal Walkthrough

Take a photo in areas marked as Wandering Seals to receive various rewards, including Coins. These are usually located with a view of beautiful landscapes worthy of photo taking and can be found pinned on the map in-game. Rewards can only be claimed once.
Where Winds Meet Interactive Map

Spend your energy on the challenges available in the Wandering Paths tab, such as Campaigns, Outposts, Sword Trials, and the weekly Hero's Realm. All activities will reward you with various items, including a good sum of Coins.
Your maximum energy depends on your current breakthrough level. 1 energy point replenishes every 8 minutes or you can opt for a quick replenish using the Pillow Pill item. You can also expend extra energy points to redeem more rewards.
Best Activities to Spend Energy

Completion of either side quests or main quests will reward you with various rewards, including Coins. Travel across the Jianghu and lend a hand to concerned citizens to earn more Coins.

You can purchase a String of Coins at the Season Shop in exchange for 30 Jade Fishes. Each bag contains 1000 Coins that you can use. There are two separate Strings of Coins from the shop's listing that you can choose from, both with 999 weekly stocks.

Guilds include weekly goals that members can do solo or as a team. You can earn Coins as a reward for each accomplished objective.

Explore the overworld and engage with various Sentient Beings to earn coins. Some activities will reward you with coins upon completion, while others, such as Chest Collection, may contain Coins that are waiting to be found.

Gear enhancements require a certain amount of Coins, along with other upgrade items. A higher gear enhancement level will require more coins to expend.

Some NPC Vendors and Merchants can be found selling various goods in populated areas, primarily the ones selling general, miscellaneous, or common goods. These items are purchased using Coins.
