Speak with Qiao Yize in Fairgrounds

Correspondent: Eastern Herald Map Location
Region Kaifeng City , Kaifeng

To unlock the Exploration quest Correspondent: Eastern Herald, teleport to Fairgrounds via the Caomen Avenue Boundary Stone. Go left of the stone, on the map, until you see a bridge overhead. Get up the bridge and speak with Qiao Yize at the top.

Note that the quest was renamed from Windpress: The Scoop.

Step Objectives

Objective 1
Talk to Qiao Yize, who will task you with investigating an incident concerning a white-furred monster in Fairgrounds.

Objective 2
Go to Fairgrounds and talk to the informant Liu Zhi to learn more about the case, which she claims to have witnessed herself.

Objective 3
You will be transported to the night the incident happened based on Liu Zhi's memory. Run ahead to investigate the commotion on the road.

Objective 4
Follow the objective marker further along the road until you see the “monster”. Pursue him until you reach the wall of a home, where you will see that he is just an ordinary man avoiding payment of his bathhouse bill.

Approach the site of the incident and stand on the spot marked on the ground. Make a portrait of the scene by centering the subjects in the frame. Then, draw the portrait once the frame turns green. Save the picture to end the memory.

Relay your findings to Qiao Yize, who will insist on feeding rumors about the monster. You have the option to write your own headline and content, but you can submit the default text as they are.

After editing the story, head inside the building to speak with the tower master Du Gantang. She will give you the Wind Whispers item, which unlocks the Eastern Herald in Wandering Paths.

Complete the Quest to Write Articles for the Eastern Herald

WWM - Eastern Herald

Completing the quest rewards you with the Wind Whispers item, which unlocks the Eastern Herald in Wandering Paths. This multiplayer feature allows you to write articles of your own and submit them publicly for other players to view and like (similar to signposts).

By submitting articles and accumulating likes, you level up your Correspondence Level, with each milestone giving you rewards. You also earn Adventure Slips which you can exchange for cosmetics in the Wandering Paths Shop.

Complete the Quest to Unlock A Study in Slacking

WWM - Talk to Ge Mang

Completing the quest also unlocks the Encounter A Study in Slacking, which you can find in the Fairgrounds area. Once the Encounter has been triggered, talk to the wailing child Ge Mang in front of Mo Yuwang's table.
