The Pokemon deals increased damage to opposing Pokemon when it lands a critical hit. When the Pokemon is near a wall, it becomes camouflaged and opposing Pokemon are unable to target it. The Pokemon gains one critical counter whenever a set amount of time passes while camouflaged (up to a maximum of 3 counters). When a critical counter is consumed, the Pokemon's next basic atack or move that has a set chance of becoming a cirtical hit is guaranteed to be a critical hit.
With this passive ability, Inteleon deals increased critical hit damage whenever something from its kit crits.
The usual x2 damage multiplier is further increased to x2.5. Partner this with the almost guaranteed critical hit chance when consuming a critical counter and you'll see big numbers all the time.
It takes about 1 second for the camouflage to break after moving away from walls.
Sniper's camouflage and critical counter mechanic only trigger whenever Inteleon is near walls. Given this, Inteleon needs to stay near walls for most of the time to benefit from Sniper's effects.
To stay in camouflage, it's best to move to the nearest wall possible while roaming or repositioning. Inteleon just has a few moments before the camouflage breaks when it moves away from walls.
Using Eject Button and Fell Stinger or Acrobatics towards a wall is one way to stay keep the camouflage when repositioning.
Utilize Sniper's camouflage and critical counter mechanic to set up an ambush and take out targets quickly. It's best to focus on low-durability targets first to put the enemy team at a disadvantage.
Managing the critical counter is central to Inteleon's gameplay and efficiency. It's best to have at least one critical counter before using Liquidation or Snipe Shot to maximize their damage, then use the rest to deal critical-hits with attacks. Consuming all critical counter charges using a combination of moves and attacks can deal massive damage to opponents or take them out quickly.
| 1.19.2.6 | Reduced max critical counters before evolving: Sobble: from 3 to 1. Drizzile: from 3 to 2. Inteleon: No change. |
