CPU Match

CPU Match matches you and other human players against bots. This is a good way to practice or to just relax as playing against bots is significantly easier than playing against other players. You can also invite up to 4 friends to join your team!

Friendly Match

Friendly Match does not matchmake you with random players, instead, it allows you to start a custom lobby where you can invite up to 9 other players to play a 5v5 match.

How to Add Friends

If you do not have enough friends you can fill out empty slots with bots. You can even fill out all the slots with bots, allowing you to be the only human player in a bot-only match. Simply press the add bot button on the right of the lobby slots.

Only Available for Standard and Random Battles

Pokemon UNITE - Ranked Lobby Matchmaking

For Ranked Battle, the only match type that is allowed is Random Match. Friendly and CPU matches are not playable when playing Ranked. This is because of the competitive nature of Rank and how it challenges your skill against other players. Playing against your friends or bots will not test your skill and can even be abused.
