How to Play Pokemon UNITE: Standard Battle Guide and Rules
Remoat Stadium is the main map of Pokemon UNITE, which is used for both the Ranked, and Standard Battles.
This is a tutorial video on understanding Remoat Stadium.
Number of Players | 5v5 |
---|---|
Match Type | Ranked and Standard Battles |
Being one the biggest maps in the game, Remoat Stadium can host 2 teams of 5 people each for a head to head battle.
Match Length | 10 Minutes |
---|---|
Wild Pokemon Evolution | 2 Minutes Left |
Since the map is used for both Standard and Ranked Battles, the match time for Remoat Stadium is 10 minutes. Players can expect Wild Pokemon to start evolving when there's only 2 minutes left.
All Goal Zones in Remoat Stadium |
---|
Remoat Stadium has a total of 5 Goal Zones per team, 4 outer Goal Zones (marked as A & B on the image above), and 1 Base Goal Zone (marked as C).
Standing underneath these Goal Zones will give you a small shield and also slowly heal your Pokemon.
Outer Goal Zone |
---|
HP | |
---|---|
Outer Goal Zone / Goal Zone A | 80 |
Outer Goal Zone / Goal Zone B | 100 |
Base Goal Zone / Goal Zone C | Indestructible |
Each team will have 4 outer Goal Zones. Only the outer Goal Zones have a set amount of HP before they are destroyed
Active Goal Zones |
---|
You can only score points in Active Goal Zones, which will be highlighted on your minimap.
Destroying an Active Goal Zone will let you score points on the Next Goal Zone.
Base Goal Zone |
---|
Base Goal Zones are located right outside the respawn area.
You can only start scoring points here if you've destroyed all the Goal Zones on a path or lane. Base Goal Zones cannot be destroyed.
Double Points at 2 Minutes Left |
---|
When there is only two minutes left in the game, any points scored in a Goal Zone will be doubled.
Take this opportunity to steal the game by waiting and stacking points before the 2 minute mark!
Team Speed Lane Buff |
---|
Each lane leading to an outer Goal Zone will give a speed boost to the allied Pokemon standing on it, indicated by blue streaks of light on the Pokemon.
This speed buff will disappear if the Outer Goal Zone leading to it gets destroyed.
Enemy Speed Lane Debuff |
---|
Being in the Enemy Speed Lane will reduce your movement speed, indicated by an orange circle around your Pokemon.
This will also expose your character to the enemy team, indicated by the pink eye icon on top of your Pokemon.
Location | Effect | |
---|---|---|
Yellow Berry |
|
Heals Pokemon for 1500 HP |
Green Berry | Gives Pokemon a speed boost |
Remoat Stadium will have Berries scattered around that can give buffs or heal Pokemon that pick them up.
There are four Jump pads found in Remoat Stadium. Standing on these jump pads will propel a Pokemon to fixed locations on the map.
Jump Pad Locations | |
---|---|
Upper Left | Upper Right |
Lower Left | Lower Right |
Remoat Stadium has a Super Jump pad that spawns 5 minutes into the game.
Super Jump Pad Interaction |
---|
Trainers can use this to travel to key positions on the map to get back into the fight.
Your base will have a shield that will prevent any attacks and enemy Pokemon from getting inside.
The base will constantly heal your HP until you're back to full. Respawning will let your Pokemon be invulnerable for a short time.
Initial Spawn Location |
---|
Alt Spawn Location |
Alternate Locations become a Wild Pokemon's Spawn Point after certain conditions are met in the game (like having goal posts destroyed, etc.)
Zapdos | |
Spawn Time | 2:00 |
---|---|
Respawn Time | N/A |
Points Earned | 30 + 15 to teammates |
Effect | Gives +15 points to the team. Makes enemy goal zones vulnerable to be captured for 30 seconds. |
Enemy Goal Zone Effect |
---|
Aside from the extra Aeos Energy from defeating Zapdos, the remaining enemy Goal Zones on the minimap will have a timer placed on them. This indicates that you can instantly score without the need to charge.
Rotom | |
Spawn Time | 7:00 |
---|---|
Respawn Time | 2:00 |
Points Earned | 20 |
Effect | Heads towards an enemy goal zone to make it defenseless for 24 seconds. Aids the allied team while pushing. |
Rotom Charged Goal Zone |
---|
After defeating Rotom, it will slowly travel to the nearest enemy Goal Zone.
When Rotom reaches a Goal Zone, they will charge that Goal zone. Charged Goal Zones will let you score points instantaneously.

---|---|
Respawn Time | 2:00 |
Points Earned | 20 |
Effect | Grants EXP points and shields to the allied team. |

Aside from the additional EXP, defeating Drednaw gives you and your teammates bonus shields, regardless of where they are on the map.

This event just centers around playing both Ranked and Standard Battles. Remoat Stadium is used for both of these modes, so be sure to continue reading this guide to give you an edge in winning matches!
Time for a Unite Battle! Event Guide
With points being tied to defeating Wild Pokemon, knowing when they're spawning can give you an edge over the enemy team.
Knowing spawn timings can help you set up control of the map in advance, where for example you push the enemy team into their base while a Drednaw or Zapdos is about to spawn.
Goal Zones will receive a x2 buff when there are only 2 minutes left into the game. This buff will multiply points scored by double.
We have been in multiple situations where the x2 effect of scoring in a Goal Zone helped us steal wins from right under the enemy.
Take advantage of the value gained in holding your stack of 50 points at the time of 2:30 and then waiting for just 30 seconds to double that amount!
