No Minimum Points Required

Pokemon UNITE - Attack Weight Decidueye Scoring a Goal

The Attack Weight boosts your Attack stat whenever you score a goal, regardless of how many points you gain per goal.

Score Aggressively with Low Points

Since the attack bonus from Attack Weight takes effect regardless of how many points you scored, the best strategy is to keep your points as low as possible (1 - 10) early on, and keep scoring. The reason for keeping your points as low as possible is because having low points allows you to score a lot faster, enabling you to score even when there are enemies guarding the goal.

The goal of this strategy is to max out the attack damage bonus as early as possible. This gives Pokemon a considerable damage advantage early on, which can be effective throughout the game.

Scoring Guide: How and When to Score Goals

Stacks Up to 6 Times

The bonus attack damage can stack up to 6 times per game. It also lasts for the entire match, and dying does not reset the effect.

Has No Cooldown

There's no cooldown for this item's effect upon scoring a goal, meaning you could do something like scoring 6 goals within 30 seconds and still gain the bonus stat per goal.

Generally, Attack Weight is best used by Attacker and Speedster Pokemon, but it really boils down to the Pokemon itself.

Cinderace's Blaze passive ability coupled with the attack bonus given by Attack Weight enables him to burst down the enemy quickly.

Talonflame's high mobility allows him to move around the map fast and score points. Using Fly to surpass enemies and score points is the best play for Talonflame. As a Speedster, Talonflame can benefit from the attack bonus given after scoring with Attack Weight.

Attack Weight Test

Data was acquired using Cinderace at level 15, equipped with an Attack Weight with an item grade of level 25

The purpose of this test was to determine how many times the bonus damage from Attack Weight can stack. The test was conducted by using the doll in Practice Area to determine the attack damage of the Pokemon before the effect of Attack Weight, then repeatedly score points until the attack damage stops increasing.

Up to 6 Stacks

As the result of the test, the bonus damage can stack up to 6 Times. After 7 goals, the Pokemon's attack damage no longer increases. Given this finding, it is best to score 6 Times during battles to maximize the effect of Attack Weight. Pairing Attack Weight with the Goal-Getter can be an interesting combination.

Duration and Reset Test

The purpose of this test was to determine how long the bonus attack damage from Attack Weight lasts, and if it resets at death. The test was conducted by using the doll in Practice Area to determine the attack damage of the Pokemon before the effect of Attack Weight and after 6 stacks, then forcing a death. After respawning, the Pokemon is ordered to attack the dummy again to see if the bonus attack damage is gone, or if it still persists.

Does not Reset After Getting Knocked Down

As a result of the test, it is confirmed that the bonus attack damage from Attack Weight lasts indefinitely for the entire match, and getting knock down in battle does not remove or reset it. With this in mind, the best strategy is to get the max bonus attack damge as early as possible, since it lasts for the entire match.
