Mimikyu Tricks Its Way on October 19!

Mimikyu has officially joined Pokemon UNITE's roster last October 19, 2023! This new Pokemon has a lot of tricks up its sleeve so better watch out!

Mimikyu's UNITE License became obtainable in-game at around 07:00AM UTC or 12:00AM Pacific. Here are the release date and time after being converted for these specific regions:

Disguise

When the Pokémon is in Disguised Form and takes damage from opposing Pokémon, the Pokémon with this Ability has its HP decreased by a set percentage of its remaining HP, nullifies damage for a set amount of time, and changes to Busted Form.

At the same time, a revenge mark is applied to the opposing Pokémon that dealt the damage.

The Pokémon with this Ability increases in movement speed when approaching revenge-marked opposing Pokémon and deals increased damage to them.
If the Pokémon remains in Busted Form for a set amount of time, it returns to Disguised Form.

If the Pokémon knocks out an opposing Pokémon, the time it takes to return to Disguised Form is decreased.

Shadow Claw

Based on the video, Mimikyu performs multiple attacks in front of itself using its claws.

Trick Room

Mimikyu creates a bizarre area around itself. If Mimikyu is slowed while it's in the area, it's converted to a movement speed increase and the Pokemon takes less damage from opponents outside the area.

Play Rough

Mimikyu jumps forward, then move around an opponent it hits, dealing damage and decreasing their movement speed. After the attack finishes, Mimikyu can jump in a direction if its choosing.

Shadow Sneak

The first move shown in the trailer for Mimikyu's reveal could possibly be Shadow Sneak, where Mimikyu extends its shadow towards its target and attacks from behind. It can also be seen that the shadow also lingers after Mimikyu executes the attack.

Unite Move: Play With Me?

Mimikyu leaps at an opponent and traps it inside of its rag, dealing damage over time and granting Mimikyu a shield. The target isn't affected by any Pokemon's moves except Mimikyu while trapped!
